"I was assigned Associated through my home warranty. There was a short circuit somewhere in my old home, but they diagnosed the issue and was able to fix it in a timely manner"
"This guy, Nick, is a hack and extremely unprofessional. They don't deserve any stars. We have a home warranty. We paid a deductible and they sent this company. First, he is unprofessional asking us to send photos. He set an appointment and was late. He arrived and was onsite at our home for literally a total of 3 mins. He looked at the panel and said, it looks fine. I'll call the electric company and left, no other information. He left and I called him, he answered said the same thing and as I was preparing to ask about the process, he hung up on me. I called back no answer and then I texted him with no response. Then about an hour later some guy shows up at the house after we return to work claiming to be from the electric company. He calls and says "I'm here". We were confused because he didn't identify himself. He says I checked and everything is fine with the external service and it is the panel box. Nick, then reported to the home warranty company that everything was fine. It was not. We still only have power to one portion of our home. We figured it is an issue with the panel. We called the home warranty and explained. They inform the technician said he fixed everything and there was no issue. Clearly, he lied and is lying. I believe he is running a scam on the home warranty company. We are calling the electrical company to make sure someone even came out, because it was all to fast and convenient. Something is not right. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY."
"If it was possible for me to give a 0-star review, I would. These electricians were dispatched to my home from American Home Shield, or HSA, whatever they are called, because I was having some electrical issues. They told me that it was probably because i didn't have a few lightbulbs in one of my lights and left. A week later I was electrocuted by my electrical panel because they didn't bother to check to see if any of the connections were loose. I paid 800 dollars to another, much better, electrical company and they told me that my neutral wire wasn't screwed down and I had a lot of other loose wires in my panel. These electricians didn't even bother to check that and as a result I was absolutely zapped by my panel. With full disrespect meant, do not waste your time or money on these "experts" and just search for "Electricians in Pittsburgh" on Google, pick the first result, and spend the money for actual service. :)"
"This company was fantastic. They were communicative beyond my expectations and even beyond my hopes. I had an electrical issue late on a Friday evening. I called my home warranty company who set me up with Associated Electric. I left a voice mail message Saturday but really didn't think I would hear back until Monday or later. I was in a bit of a panic because on Sunday I was supposed to go out of state for a week and was concerned it might not be safe, Nick responded the same day—Saturday—and talked me through the problem in a calm, caring, professional and reassuring way andI felt confident leaving When I returned, an appointment was promptly scheduled and my problem thoroughly addressed. Both Nick and the guy who came with him were polite, pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient—consummate professionals. I would definitely use this company again, even for problems outside of the limitations of my home warranty for which I would be free to choose any company and highly recommend Associated Electric."
"Complete trash and a complete fraud. We've lost power to three rooms in the house. They showed up late came and reset the breaker box which I've done a half dozen times told them the GFI that I think is causing the problems and they left. As they were leaving they told us we had a damaged wire They couldn't tell us where the damage wire was but that we had a damage wire. The next day I might call gets reassigned to a different contractor because associated electric said the house was unsanitary. Unsanitary? Please. It does have a pet odor, I'm sure they've dealt with it before. We had a flooding problem in the laundry room which is where one of the breakers is that I think is causing the problem. So of course that's a mess following the flood. We'll see what the next contractor does but avoid these people like the plague. If you get them assigned to your problem by AHS American home shield warranty I would immediately decline them and tell them you want someone else. I wouldn't trust these idiots to plug in an extension cord. So they were here and gone in about 10 minutes and did absolutely nothing and we still don't have power in three rooms including the laundry room."
