"Dr. O'Fallon is a fine doctor and it pains me to leave her as my primary care physician but I can no longer tolerate how difficult it is to setup an appointment. No one answers the phone. Ever. If they do choose to call you back it is days later. Based on my experience this is not an exception this is the rule. Lastly, not a huge deal but still worth noting, the staff can be surmised as cold and distant when you have to engage them for anything."
"Our family has been seeing Dr. Engler and Montano for a few years. They are both very kind, thorough, and professional. We appreciate their care. The office is not new and fancy but the care is great."
"Have you met Stephanie B.? Well, let me fill you in.. She takes the health & well being of her patients seriously. She makes sure to understand what you need, even if you have bouts of word-salad and brain fog like I do. She WILL call you back. And she has a fantastic sense of humor and calls you ‘gorgeous’. And let me just say, when you’re in a world of pain or depression, that can make all the difference. Amazing proffessional, lovely humanbeing. Highly recommend!"
"Dr. O’Fallon was excellent— thorough and personable. After the visit I never received my bill or further comment about payment from the clinic until December, when I got a text message asking me to text back a personal number/send money via Venmo or get sent to collections. Thought that was weird, tried to call back the next day but, as the text I received said, they are “short staffed” and no one answered. I think it is unprofessional to text a patient without saying who you are and asking you to Venmo them like $350 and “closing your account” over what amounts to a miscommunication"
"First, let me say that Dr. Engler is very good and incredibly sweet. I hope she leaves this place and finds better people to represent her. Her MA was also wonderful. Everyone else in the office is absolutely HORRIBLE. The receptionists are condescending, rude, and incompetent. After every visit I would ask to pay my copay, and they would snobbily tell me that I didn’t have a copay. I definitely knew that I did, as I was on Medicaid. I even asked if I could pay them money to put ON my account to cover future copays, which they laughed at and didn’t let me do. During my time there, I was ruled out for rheumatoid arthritis and referred to another specialist and stopped being a patient at AKIMP. This was over a year ago. A few weeks ago, my old address (outdated) received a bill that was going to collections for a series of copays. I did not get a phone call about these bills. I received no call to verify my address. If my old roommate hadn’t been in town or contact to give me the mail I would have had no clue. I had a call with AKIMP and told them that my address was out of date and that they should’ve updated it with me before sending billing mail. I was chastised and told I was responsible for updating my address with them! I had not been a patient in OVER a year! I was completely unaware of any bills I had, especially after having asked them after every appointment and condescendingly told I had nothing due. The receptionist told me I could pay over Venmo, which is “convenient” but sketchy. I asked her for a receipt and she told me she could “Message you on Venmo that we received the payment”. Excuse me, what? That’s your medical receipt? How unprofessional. I need a proper INVOICE. Finally I pressed and she said she’d mail me one in the mail, but was unable to email me one apparently. Very interesting. Overall, not a great experience and that’s solely due to the receptionists and front desk staff. Like I said, Dr. Engler is wonderful, intelligent, listens to you and is honest about her expertise. Without her I wouldn’t have gotten a referral and gotten to the bottom of my rare diagnosis. Just know what you’re getting yourself into, and even if you’re not longer a patient make sure you update your address with them years later, lmao."
