"We loved our day with the bears at Pavlof Marine State Park. Heather was super nice accommodating us last minute, and provided all we needed in terms of water, boots, earplugs for the floatplane, etc. Matt our guide knew all about the bears we saw, which came and went for the entire 5 hours we were there! "We enjoyed our trip with Alaska photo excursions. We were taken by float plane to Pavlof Harbor Marine park. The flight on the float plane was interesting and a beautiful way to view Southeast Alaska. After landing we had a short hike to the viewing site where we spent several hours enjoying watching bears catch fish at a picture perfect river and waterfall. The float plane returned and we enjoyed another plane ride back. Our guide Matthew not only gave us pointers on the settings for our camera but made us feel safe in bear country. I would recommend you to bring water, a few granola bars, something padded to sit on, and extra tuff boots or something similar as you will get off and on the float plane in water at the destination."
