"We did the Mendenhall Glacier tour with M&M Tours. Our guide/driver was great and took the time to tell us about Juneau and Alaska. The tour was on time and our guide brought us back to our ship after the tour. Was a lovely experience and I recommend this company for tours."
"I took the whale watching excursion from Auk Bay. I was staying in Juneau and called the day before to see if I could meet the ship at the dock, since that was more convenient for me than driving to the cruise piers. I received excellent instructions and was there in plenty of time to meet the rest of the group. We were lucky to see plenty of whales. It was just amazing and our crew Larry, Steph and Monica were excellent!"
"Took the city and glacier tour, since they apparently can’t take you directly to the glacier anymore? (As of July 4, 2023) Not sure if that’s the truth or just a way to force you to take the longer bus/pricier option. I could have done without the stop at Homestead park. It was nice to see the whale statue quickly at Overstreet park. You have plenty of time at the glacier, around 1.5hrs. There are some nice views and the waterfall is fun to visit. Maybe not worth $60/65 per person if you’re on a cruise that visits the glaciers."
"Horrible experience with the bus getting back from the Glacier. The blue bus company seems to have only 2 buses, which cause issues from 4 pm on. The pick up spot is the same as another company, so there was chaos when the bus pulled up. No way to form lines, and one tiny overhead to keep the rain out for both companies . There was pushing, shoving, cutting in front of others waiting, lack of a proper count onto the bus ,so it was way too full. People refused to get out, back into the pouring rain. The other company had a bus every 15 minutes and more than one at a time. My advice? Book with anyone but the blue bus express."
