"Very helpful staff and a good place to find new and discounted bikes as well as electric bikes. Full bike service can be found inside, and a quick adjustment area can be found outside as well. Also a good place to get a rental if you have some guests in town!"
"We booked this tour thru the ship. We booked the bike and tram package. Great experience. This was one of our favorite tours during our cruise. They picked us up early from the port and we were on our way. We rode a van up to a ski lodge and were then assigned our bikes and given gear. We had a great ride down with several stops. The guides were very informative. Highly recommend."
"Booked an excursion through Princess Cruises called "Bike and Tram Elevation Sensation." The biking part was handled through Cycle Alaska with tour guides Dylan and Liza, who were great. The Cycle Alaska van took us up to Eagle Crest ski area and we cycled down a gentle grade for several miles, stopping along the way at various sites, such as a salmon spawning, a waterfall, and a forest site. Cycle Alaska provided helmets and raingear (needed due to weather). The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and the trip wasn't strenuous at all. There were only 2 small uphill portions that required a bit of pedaling, but everything else was totally feasible for the most novice of cyclists at any age. Liza drove the van and played the forest naturalist role, pointing out Devil's Club, Sitka Spruce, wild blueberries, and other features. Because we cycled on the shoulder of the road, Liza in the van followed behind the group, letting Dylan know of any approaching cars. We weren't passed by many cars at all (maybe 5 total). The bikes were Trek FX 2 bikes (not e-bikes, thankfully!) and all in decent shape. Nice variety of frame sizes too. Raingear was mostly Showers Pass gear (which is good). Don't expect any hardcore cycling. You won't be going down mountainous trails bouncing along roots and rocks at 20 mph. These excursions are geared toward cruise demographics, so they're super easygoing. It was definitely worth it! I loved being on the bike for a morning ride, seeing a new area and exploring the side features. Near the end we stopped at a lake and wandered along the pier and beach for a bit before finishing the ride. Note: You will be required to wear a helmet. If you don't want to wear the helmet, you can't ride. One person in our group ended up riding in the van because he wouldn't take off his cowboy hat."
"Had a nice scenic bike tour with Ryan and Henry. They were knowledgeable and funny! I like trivia and the driver Ryan was asking fun questions so I enjoyed the interaction. Biking to the glacier was fun but once we parked and saw it, it was a breath taking view!! Loooved the brewery restaurant after too! Yummy amber beer and delicious salmon chowder. I walked over to the famous crab restaurant and extremely recommend the crab cakes!! Thank you cycle Alaska for having this tour and led by nice wholesome guys!!"
"Cycle Alaska provided such a unique and personable experience for our entire group. They provide everything, are very knowledgeable, and make you feel comfortable with the entire excursion. If you want to do something with a small group that is "a bit off the beaten (bike) path". You really can't go wrong. Both Ryan and Li made the whole group feel welcome and were super personable and made the time fly. It was honestly a one of a kind experience. Thank you so much!"
