"Throughout the snowshoeing adventure, the Go Hike Alaska team ensured that every participant felt welcomed and included. Their commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment truly stood out, making the experience all the more enjoyable. As representatives of Catholic Social Services, we had an excellent time learning about Alaska and witnessing the beauty that awaits to be discovered. The experience left a lasting impression on all of us, and we are immensely grateful to Go Hike Alaska for their dedication to promoting outdoor exploration and community engagement. Whether you're a non-profit organization looking for a memorable community event or an outdoor enthusiast eager to embark on an adventure, we highly recommend Go Hike Alaska. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!"
"I did the advanced snowshoe hike solo and it was an amazing experience. It was about 4 hours in the Chugach State Park and I had Mike and Alexa as my guide and they were great. It is definitely advanced as you'll go up and down through the snow and tire out fast. Be sure to wear anything and everything waterproof."
"We went on a hike with Bryce to a frozen waterfall while it was snowing and it was terrific. Beautiful scenery and a relaxing hike. Bryce was knowledgeable and a great tour guide. Thanks again for a great experience !"
"We had the pleasure of meeting Matt and going on the wonderful Barbara falls tour, which was amazing. With the amount of snow in Anchorage this winter, it was a frozen snow globe! Matt went above and beyond, allowed us to snowshoe on the way to Barbara falls creating our paths through the snow. Highly recommend and one of our favorite experiences on our visit."
"We did the Summer Valley & Forest Hike on Sep 4 with our guide, Bryce, and two other hikers. This was an easy hike for us - largely flat, and beautiful throughout. Being new to Alaska, we didn't feel comfortable doing any hikes on our own, and Bryce was a fantastic guide. He was on time for our pickup, friendly and informative throughout the drive to the trail head, and best of all, he stopped the van along the way for a surprise moose sighting in a lake by the highway. We were able to capture some great photos and videos of the moose grazing in the lake, from a close but safe vantage point, and without feeling rushed. Then the hike itself was great - again, beautiful throughout, and Bryce had great knowledge of the plants and area. He stopped a number of times to bring our attention to plants and mushrooms that are important or unique to the area and gave us time to admire the views at various stops (among them a stunning waterfall). Be sure to bring water and snacks for the hike, as it's long enough that we got a bit hungry. Go Hike Alaska has many offerings; this was the only one we did during our short Anchorage stay, but given our experience, we'll definitely seek them out again when back in the beautiful state."
