"The staff took fantastic care of my daughter while there. Our nurse, Ellen, was top notch. The techs and doctors were great as well."
"My poor little 4 month old was puking uncontrollably with fevers I brought her in found out she had COVID. When I had to bring her back hours later they took her situation so serious and got her back so quickly.. kept her over night ran lots of tests to make sure she was going to be ok. Doctors, NPs, nurses, and techs were amazing and helped my LO and myself with everything needed!"
"I hate that this is the only children’s hospital around. We’ve been in and out of this hospital with our preemie son 3 times now in the 4 months he’s been home, all for different reasons. The nurses are SLOW and very unresponsive, the doctors are hit and miss. Doctors frequently say they’ll be back in and never show. Discharge is discussed and never followed through without pestering and waiting literal hours. The ER rooms are grimy and gross. The parent “beds” are all broken and uncomfortable. Oh, and while it is a teaching facility, permission is still REQUIRED for students to enter a patient’s room, this has been forgotten two of our three visits. The first being a student nurse that was asked if she’d remove my preemie’s IV. She didn’t wash, sanitize, or glove her hands prior to touching my baby. She was incredibly rough to the point I had to tell her to stop. She had no clue what she was doing. This hospital never fails to make me angry."
"I brought my daughter here after Urgent Care couldn't help us. She needed stitches from a dog bite. I have to say that this hospital was AMAZING! From the child specialist to the nurses everyone was so helpful. They made a scary experience something special. She made slime, watched a movie and got an awesome pink lemonade slushie. Thank you for making it a stress free experience for my daughter!"
"My 8 yr old was sent here from Taylorsville ER for a ruptured appendix. The staff was amazing and very nice but the wait time was bad. We got there at 2 and were checked in quickly, but waiting for surgical team to come in and discuss surgery took forever. He didn't have surgery until 9 PM. I know they are at the mercy of the O.R. but it was hard to wait when my son felt so miserable. However, I liked surgical team and nurses were nice."
