"I was in a 4 bedroom private. It was okay…to say the least. Loved all my roommates, they were awesome. But it is not worth the rent. (644 a month) online showed that I was gonna have a “full” size bed when I applied but got a twin. Bathroom was pretty broken, when I showered, the drain didn’t drain water and one of the handles on the drawer was broken and just placed inside of the drawer. And then parking… parking is terrible, I would say that the parking pass is a respectable price but the fact that they have reserved parking spots now is so dumb, half of them aren’t even being used so it’s just less parking spots that we can use…and because of that you sometimes have to park far away from your apartment. And when you try to sell your contact, which I did cause I wanted a cheaper place…you have to pay a $250 selling fee. Like why would they do this to college students who don’t have much money anyway. Not everyone gets money everyday from their parents and some people have to pay out of state tuition for school. Just not it. Oh yeah, and the WiFi here sucks. Very unreliable."
"Where to begin. First off, when I took a tour they showed me a very nice and updated apartment. When I moved in my apartment is old, smells, and is dirty. The cabinets don't close, the fridge is a pee yellow stain, the floors creek, the sinks have rust in them, the shower looked like a crime scene, and I still pay the same price as people who got updated apartments. The only reason I am giving two stars is for the pickleball, pool, gym, and hot tub. All of these are great, except for the fact you can't use a hot tub on Sunday. They lock it up. You are paying 650+ a month and you can't even use a hot tub half the weekend. The management here is ridiculous. If you call the help line you will never get anyone to answer or call you back. Plus some of the workers are just mean. One day, someone in my apartment clogged a toilet. They clogged it and went about their day. But, the toilet caused water to drip into the apartment below us. Later that day, I was getting ready for class when someone was banging on our door and yelling. When I opened the door I was then yelled at for overflowing a toilet by a maintenance worker. I told him that I did not clog a toilet and was simple to person that answered the door. Overall, do not live here. It is nothing like what them make it seem online or on a tour. I can't wait to move out this summer. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!"
"I'm just writing this review to ABSOLUTELY second everyone's negative reviews. I lived there last year. The Branbury looks very nice outwardly, and *appears* to be great if you've never lived there before. HOWEVER -- On the inside, the apartments are quite mediocre, especially considering the outrageous price for a dinky shared room (good luck selling your contract!) plus amenities and whatever they decide to charge you for this month. I was glad to leave after my contract was up, they begged and begged us to renew our contracts, but were increasing rent and parking drastically the next year so it was an easy refusal - Maintenance is nice and tries their best but there are simply not enough workers for 7 whole buildings, slow responses - Obvious Band-Aid fixes to appliances and problems - I wasn't taken seriously when my freezer would completely defrost and re-freeze a few times a week, or when the lock on the front door would refuse to open and I couldn't let myself into my own house! (When they came to check, it looked just fine to them..) - No TV or lights at all in my living room - Unreliable Wi-Fi - Fridge and dishwasher appeared to have been installed in the 90's - The laundry room was a ghastly mess, the washers were filled with grime and there were puddles on the floor (I ended up always going to the laundromat on Freedom Blvd) - The entire time I lived there, the window between the common area and the gym was broken and never fixed, rendering the common room basically unusable due to the smell and the grunting noises of the people working out As Jesus once said, "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.""
"Beware the Branbury, their rates are high and amenities underwhelming. They raise the rates about $30 each year, even if you’re renewing your contract and when you go to sell, you sell at “market rate”, even if you’ve had a longevity discount. The laundry rooms are overrun, and filthy, they’ve ruined several of my clothes. The gym was recently remodeled in the most illogical way and the game room’s games are cheap and tacky. Maintenance is always backed up, and will gaslight you into thinking nothing is wrong, we (my roommates and I collectively) had to put in 6 maintenance requests for our fridge before they took us seriously. Take thorough pictures on move in if you do live here and make sure to put any issues in email/writing. The parking spaces are barely wide enough to fit cars and not wide enough to open doors, make sure to park in the back of the lot, it’s a hassle, but the spots are a little bigger in the back. Definitely not worth $25 a month for an unassigned spot though."
"The Branbury is pretty cool! I have my own room so I'm rarely bothered, and it has a great view of the river. I also love how the maintenance team can come and fix things pretty quickly! The only think I hate is the parking, the spaces are really small and if you don't have the money for a reserved spot you have to spend 2-10 minutes looking for a parking spot your okay walking back to. Also they don't tell you until the 6th that your rent didn't go through."
