"I love living at Belmont, the apartments feel like home and don't make a hole in my wallet. management takes care of any heating/ac/plumbing issues quickly and supplies us with the little things we need like light bulbs and batteries for the thermostat and fire alarms. A few little things I've run into that aren't the best are just that storage space is pretty low with a small pantry and small bedroom closets, but we do have 2 fridges which is great and the other space we need we make up for with bathroom cupboards and stuff like that. all in all, I really love these apartments and feel so at home."
"Lived here for four years while going to school and loved it. Rent was cheap, it was close to campus, having parking available was nice, and the people were generally cool and down to earth. Definitively helped me graduate debt free, which was one of my goals regarding college"
"This is seriously the worst apartment I've ever lived in. The only pro is that it's close to BYU campus. It is soooooo tiny! You will literally be living on top of 5 other people with barely space to turn around. The apartment is falling apart management is overrun with issues that they are not able to solve quickly enough. I unfortunately lived there for two semesters and during that time, I experienced for multiple days at at time no heat during winter, no water, no AC (for almost TWO YEARS because of "covid delays"!!!), a broken dishwasher, and an attempt to use space heaters that blew the electricity. Basically, if it could break, it would break and the repair would be very slow coming. The apartments are not nice at all and are incredibly old and run-down (and I was in an apartment that the management claimed to have renovated a few months before I moved in). DO NOT LIVE HERE! Trust me, there are so many other better places to live in Provo. You cannot go wrong by going somewhere else. I thought that I would be fine in the apartment because I would be so busy at school, but not having utilities made school much, much harder. I tried to contact the owner to ask for a refund since we didn't have utilities (and utilities are included in the rent), but the manager kept saying he would give me the owner's phone number but never did. Bottom line again in case you missed it: DO NOT LIVE HERE!"
"I wish I could leave a better review for this complex, but unfortunately I cannot be honest and leave a raving review. The apartments are close to campus, very affordable (especially during the summer) are part of an awesome YSA ward, and have no extra cost for utilities. They have 2 bathrooms and 2 fridges for 6 people, which is handy and sometimes rare in Provo. Those are pretty much the only good things I can think of. On the downside: our place was without heat for a week in *February* and without working AC until mid July. I put in many maintenance requests that either weren't fulfilled or were fulfilled without anyone knowing they were fixed. The apartments are also really tiny-- about 2-3ish feet between the beds in each room and that's it. Everything broke during my time there- the bedroom blinds, the toilet paper holder, the kitchen sink (which took a week before anyone came and unclogged it) the dishwasher, the toilet plumbing and then obviously the AC and heat. Maybe it was just the managers that were struggling to keep up with the old apartments, but they were not very helpful or responsive most of the time. You also have to pay for laundry with physical quarters and rent with either physical cash or a check, which doesn't bother some people but I found to be fairly inconvenient. The thing that really lead me to leave this review (since no apartment complex is perfect, especially not student housing in Provo!) is that the on-site managers refused to give me a handicapped parking spot, although they are required to do so BY LAW. When I approached Derrek about getting an assigned handicapped parking spot, he told me that they only provide those to people with "real handicaps." Not only is that rude and offensive, but it is their legal responsibility to provide equal accessibility. Obviously the physicians who signed my DMV (and school... and work...) paperwork certifying that I have a handicap and thus qualify for a permanent handicap placard thought that I do in fact have a "real" handicap. I didn't push anything (nor will I) but according to the Utah government, "The ADA is enforced by the Department of Justice. That means that charges can be brought against any person or business that doesn’t comply with the requirements for handicap parking spots. This can result in fines up to $150,000, depending on how many times the individual has violated the rules set forth by the ADA. In some states, if spaces are not properly provided, a misdemeanor crime can be charged." It's really disappointing that my experience at Belmont had to be tainted by this occurrence. Obviously this will likely not apply to the majority of people who choose to live at Belmont, but it does speak to the character of those who manage the place. Hopefully this review can be of some help to others."
"I loved living here!! Sometimes living with 6 people felt crowded tho. The cost of rent def makes it worth it. Location is also amazing and the setup of the apartment is nice."
