"My air conditioner has been broken since February 21 (it is now March 27). Every time I call, someone different is on the phone, and they always say, "wE'lL gEt SoMeOnE oUt To FiX iT tOmOrRoW" but no one ever shows. Every time a maintenance request has been made, it gets marked as "completed," despite no maintenance happening. I would advise anyone to stay away from this rat hole. Cheap rent isn't worth an apartment whose walls are 40% cockroach and a revolving door of incompetent office staff. I challenge anyone out there to find a worse apartment complex."
"This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in. My sister and I moved into our apartment in August, and we weren’t able to view the apartment until the day we moved in. When we first walked in, it smelled very strong of cigarette smoke, and the counter above the dishwasher was completely warped from water damage. The dishwasher was also filled with black water. We were told that the counter would be fixed that week, but it was not. We had to put in multiple work orders for the counter and the dishwasher being broken, and maintenance would mark them complete without even looking at it. We never could run the dishwasher, and it got to the point where the dishwasher water would go under the wall and flood into the dining room and kitchen every time we used the sink. We put in work orders for the flooding and water sitting underneath the cabinets and the wall, but no one ever came even though we called nonstop. Since it was not fixed for months, it caused BLACK MOLD to grow. We had a contractor come out and look at it, and they said that the whole wall needed to be gutted for it to be safe to live in. We also told the office that, but they didn’t seem to care. Even though there was black mold, they still wouldn’t come look at it and when they finally did, they just wiped it off the wall instead of doing full mold remediation. We had to ask to be let out of our lease because living with black mold was making us sick. Another thing to add is that there is a leak in the ceiling in one of the bedrooms and closet that is damaging the floor, ceiling, and the wall, and that has also not been taken care. Also, we had been told for months that the counter would be fixed and it never was. They also tend to shut the water off randomly, and it happens a lot. We were without hot water for 6 days when the weather temperatures were in the negatives. We only lived here for 6 months, but it was the worst experience I’ve ever had with an apartment."
"SLUMLORDS rent ROACH infested homes, so does the Arden Northwest. If Arden Northwest had a policy of cleaning the apartments before leasing, then Arden would have been the one to find all the chicken bones, dried food, and HUNDREDS of roaches behind our fridge, not me. I tried to talk to them about this only to be brushed off and told it already got treated, well OBVIOUSLY not!! Upon my request they said they would come seal the wall, but that never happened either. We are on week six of living here and have not had an apology or any further help, and the roaches are still here as well. Meaning we must clean the kitchen and rewash all dishes before we can use them. EDIT: that is the perfect social media response, someone paid attention in class; however, I already know it to be completely insincere and untrue. I went to the office and spoke to a junior employee, she was to talk to her boss and get back to me, no one did. Two days later I go back to the office and am only met with confrontation and hostility. While trying to ask for a manager the maintenance employee jumped into the conversation with a hostile attitude as if I was criticizing his work personally. THEN after this guy has yelled and spoken over me about something entirely other then what the original conversation was about, another someone comes out won’t look me in the eye, won’t talk to me other then to look in a book and say my house got sprayed. AGAIN not the point, if someone finds a NEST with hundreds of roaches AFTER it was mildly treated they need more help. I had a video to show and she would not look at it and just dismissed me while still allowing a maintenance man interrupt and yell at me. I thought all of this was unacceptable behavior on your part but went home and waited. And waited. And waited. Two weeks go by and nothing happens until I give up on you and write this review. THEN you finally want to do the right thing when you have been shamed into doing it. You FAILED to do your due diligence and purposely rented an apartment that was not clean and was infested with roaches. Then refused to look me in the face to talk about it, while allowing an employee to yell about unrelated things at me. But you want me to trust you and have a conversation? LOL EDIT: five months into the lease and we are still fighting the roaches. The staff does less then the bare minimum, and the maintenance staff is a joke, they don’t fix things, their work is akin to lipstick on a pig."
"I moved in the beginning of January. I have been dealing with the same leak since then. They’ve came out 2 times for the issue they figured out my leak was not from my pipes, my water heater, my sink, and not my dish washer either (they also left a hole in my wall and puzzle pieced the wall back together) . Every day since I’ve been here after a couple of hours I have to clean water off of my floors. It fills my entire kitchen, dining room and hallway. And I am stuck having to deal with it. Btw I am in a “remodeled” unit. Ever since the last visit I can never get anybody to come back and am now living in an aquarium. Mold has started to come because of it, wood is falling apart, and paint and the floors are starting to bubble up."
"I have been living here for a year 1/2 or so and I do not plan on moving at all. I left a previous review When I first moved in and I take back every single thing that I said. nothing is perfect, but they do everything in their means to fix any problems. Everyone in the office is amazing. Wonderful team couldn’t ask for a better place to live. Very grateful and thankful For everything that they do. It’s a friendly place to live, and I definitely will recommend anyone to come live here. It’s a great place!! And for the office thank you for everything that you do!!!"
