"I have had a few family members that have resided at these apartments. My daughter and small grandbaby live there currently, and are dealing with no central air in this heat!! Maintenance brought small window units instead of fixing the problem!!!! The window units are not only freezing up and not working, but these units will run up an electric bill in a hurry!!! Work orders go unanswered for months and always have.Something needs to be done.My daughter's apt. is now reading 94 degrees inside!! Apparently they do not realize that there are tenant laws that do exist!! Time to call the news stations and put them in those paying tenants corner!!!"
"Arbor Vista is a pretty amazing place. We have a new management staff, that is working hard to keep every resident happy and comfortable. We are a very understanding staff and we love to work with our residents. We are having resident events every month and CRAZY specials as usual!! The new management team is making amazing changes, if you have not been by, please stop by and see our beautiful apartments and endure our crazy specials!!!!"
"Let me warn you now to be EXTREMELY suspicious of highly rated reviews of this place. There's a reason why they don't go into detail while the low reviews do...and it's because we're telling you real experiences. My family and I lived here for several years. When we first moved in, the apartments were owned by a family. Management was great, maintenance was on top of things, and the only "complaint" was that the place was dated...which wasn't even really a complaint. Then the family sold the complex and the new owners were awful. First, they promised they would not raise the rent. About a month or so later, a letter went out saying they were raising everyone's rent for the next month. Our rent for our two 2br/2ba went up by over 25%. The thing is they kept making things worse, which never justified the raise in rent. They got rid of almost all the maintenance staff, save for one or two. That meant nothing was being taken care of. The grounds looked awful, and work orders were ignored. I had a work order in for our second bathroom for over a year. It was sitting waiting to be fixed by the time we left. Wasps were swarming the place but they refused to do anything about it. All we kept hearing was "what do you want me to do?!" Um, call pest control or something? A drunk driver crashed into one of the buildings, which took them forever to fix. A fugitive who had kidnapped his ex-girlfriend was hiding in one of the apartments below us, which had the place crawling with OKCPD, state troopers, and US Marshals with guns drawn. A week later, another apartment caught fire (March 2016) and still wasn't even attempted to be worked on by the time we had moved out (August 2016). Exposed wire could be found all over the complex, which was a clear fire hazard. Someone in our building broke into the box for the cable tv hookups and stole ours. LOUD fighting could frequently be heard at all hours of the night, to the point we were convinced we would eventually hear gunshots. We also had our apartment broke into with several items stolen. Management never cared about any of this, in spite of the fact we were fearing for our safety by the end of our stay. We couldn't even trust our kids to play outside because of the kind of people that were being allowed to live there. What had once been just a dated complex but with good management and longtime, trustworthy residents had become a hell hole with those longtime residents leaving as quickly as they could (and warning us to do the same). The kicker? Ten days after we finally moved, what we were convinced would happen, DID happen. Someone was murdered in the complex's parking lot. Thank god we got out. The fugitive story and the murder story can both be found by a simple google search so there's no way anyone trying to boost their rating can cover that up."
"Let me start this why saying I dealt with Charlotte who has since been removed from the management position of this property, and it's not wonder why after what I experienced with her in charge. I lived in this complex between June 2015 - December 2015 Physically lived in my unit for 4 months of my 6 month lease. Got my apartment broken into TWICE during that time. They REFUSED to even secure my unit the same day, IE makeshift cover for my broken window. I was 1 of about 20+ people that lived in ground floor units that kept getting robbed Management refused to speak to the police or even pull their supposed 'security footage'. There was a fence on the backside of the about 4 of the buildings that's been 'being worked on' for over a year. Which made my unit a blind spot where you couldn't see anyone if they broke in through my kitchen, which is what they did. They tried to charge me for replacing my window WHEN THEY FINALLY GOT AROUND TO IT. It took an entire day to cut pieces of wood to cover my windows until the glass was cut. Which took two days to do, then a day to install it. I missed over a week of work total between the two events with their maintenance man lying about fixing it only to have me walk over to the office and make a scene about how ridiculous this entire ordeal was. By the end of everything I made them board up my entire unit. WHICH were removed WITHOUT notice one day when they brought a new manager in. Who told me it "made the complex look bad and the owners were coming by and shouldn't have to see it". They LOST my 30 days notice TWICE. I ended up face to face with someone from their home office to 'talk about my experience' who tried to sell me on staying with them and moving to a complex in Moore. Cue me telling them to shove it and take my notice or else. Management at one point tried to bribe me into making fake police reports and 911 calls against other neighbors they didn't like, in hopes it would get them arrested. As well as calling their home office to complain about other members of the staff at other complexes because she didn't like them. I wish I was making this up. She tried to give me pre-loaded debit card gift cards which were given away every once in awhile during 'community events' or 'monthly raffles" for paying rent on time. During the time I lived here they owners were having a dispute with their waste management company, who (when I moved in) emptied their dumpsters at least once a week if not twice, to ONCE A MONTH. We starting have raccoons attack people that parked along the brick wall that outlines the property. (Since there's not assigned parking and it's limited space.) And trash was constantly around the property and in my front patio/walkway. Also, they have fruit trees growing all around the complex, which only attracts more wild life to come pick at them. Maintenance entered my unit without notice on more than one occasion, even after I made them aware that is against Oklahoma's Renter's Rights, I'm entitled to 24 hours WRITTEN NOTICE of entry, unless it's in an emergency. Some repairs stated on my move-in form were never repaired in the time I lived in the unit. Including one of my windows being cracked Plexiglas. We had units sit empty that were being broken into for who knows what sort of sketchy activity, one I used to avoid walking past sat that way for over a month. This property is not well maintained but made to look that way. Do not be fooled. Once you move in they will not care about your or your units problems, they will not follow through in fixing any issues. Move along to a better complex in a better part of town. HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE."
"I have lived at this complex for almost a year and a half and I have never had a bad experience. The office management and maintenance is amazing. NO issues with any type of bugs or pests. Neighbors are friendly and I have always felt safe. It is a quiet complex. The apartments are spacious and priced well. I loved going home to Arbor Glen.****"
