"I cannot begin to express how amazing of a company Splore is. I work for a non-profit group home out of Wyoming and attempted to put together a week long adventure week for the at-risk youth we serve. In order to do so I had to apply for a grant to fund the experience. I was heartbroken to find out that the grant had not been accepted and no funds would be provided. I reached out to each company I had contacted and informed them that we would have to cancel our planned trips because we could not afford to attend. Most companies replied that they were sorry to hear the news and hoped that we would keep them in mind if we ever did receive funding for such a program. Not Splore, Splore believed in the experience that we were trying to provide, Splore believed in the youth that we serve, Splore went above and beyond to ensure that our residents were given an amazing opportunity that many youths may take for granted. I won’t go into specific detail about the amount of funding they provided for us but I will say that without them we would not have been able to have an experience of a lifetime. The instructors provided were extremely knowledgeable, not only about climbing but about everything related to the sport. Little did we know that with our climbing experience we would also receive a geology lesson. We learned about the way the mountains we were standing on were created over millions of years. We were taught about the way specific rock was created and warned about which type of rock to avoid. By the end of the day we all understood and cared about the environment we were blessed with the opportunity to enjoy. The support the instructors provided for each and every one of our residents and ourselves was unparalleled. The pride, joy and excitement that everyone experienced was the type of experience that lasts a life time. Before we even made it back to our vehicle at the end of the day we had residents begging to go climbing again another day. At the end of the day there was a closing circle to reflect on the experience and report on our favorite part. Although there were few words spoken during this time the life lessons and memories were bountiful. Thank you Splore for something that money cannot buy, thank you for the opportunity to change lives."
