"This was my second tour to Israel. I went with Fun For Less the first time. I was very excited to go and see all the sites again. I’ll start with the good. Daniel Rona has a great knowledge of the Jewish customs and tied them all back to the LDS faith. I loved that. He is a great instructor. That being said. I wasn’t there just to be instructed. I was there to also let the spirit speak to me and visit the sites on the list. I compared his tour with fun for less to make sure we would see the same things. I was assured we would. We did not. Many things on the schedule were skipped or we would drive by and told to look out the window and see it. We didn’t get out of the bus. One major site being the country of Dan. We didn’t get to wander and see things because he would be upset if we were not listening or have our headset on. Multiple times we were asked why we were there if we didn’t want to listen to him. Sometimes I want to sit in my own thoughts. I read the scriptures. Not everything was new information. 2 people in our group were on scooters like Daniel. Both had ordered them months before and paid extra to have them on tour to make it easier. Only 1 was ready the first day and a half. Daniels scooter broke on the first day and he took the scooter from the 80 year old man who had rented. So both men who needed scooters had to walk Masada with no scooter. One of the hottest days with the most walking. It made it very difficult for them to recover from day one. The scooters continued to break every day of the tour. At one point they were told to stay on the bus while we did Bethlehem because their scooters were not working. They of course didn’t want to miss out on that 3 hours and came but it was very difficult. Because we all were helping these men who had to walk slowly and take frequent breaks we were told from Daniel we all needed to hurry. If we tried to explain why we were taking so long he would get upset. He had a scooter that went quickly and disregarded how hard it was for others that needed them. Many times he would say it wasn’t far and they would be fine but wouldn’t walk it himself or offer his scooter to the men who also needed them. There was a lot of static some days because his cell phone interrupts with the speaker. If we told him we couldn’t hear because the static, he would get upset and tell us to change our batteries. If we didn’t hear certain things because he would get so far ahead of the group on his scooter he would get upset that m we asked questions of things we missed and would be very condescending and tell us he has said it many times. He would never just answer a questions. He would let us know what an inconvenience it was to answer a simple question again. There was no free time. Many wanted to take just an extra 15-20 minutes to shop but we were only given time at shops that Daniel wanted us to go to (of course he makes commissions at these stores). One day that we skipped seeing 2 things on the list because of time we still had time to visit the diamond shop that closed at 5. We made sure to be there on time. He had already told us his son invested in diamonds. But we didn’t have time to see the land of Dan or Nazareth. Just a glimpse as we drove by. There was a young man on the tour that willingly carried his extra stuff and helped carry lunches. Daniel would get upset if he didn’t set it in the correct place and let everyone around know he didn’t think he had to explain common sense. He is full of knowledge but very rude to his customers. Everything is the gospel according to Daniel. If anyone tried to explain what they have learned that was different (even if they heard it from a general authority or other leader of the church) he would laugh and tell them they were wrong and even make comments to make them feel silly. He let us know we just don’t understand it the way he does. I cannot ever recommend this company."
"This was a return trip for me, sharing the sites with my 13 yr old son and my husband. Bro Rona’s insights, and the peaceful way he shares them made the trip for me. His love for the Savior is felt. Be prepared to walk! You will cover so much in each day and be exhausted and filled with your new memories and love for Israel. I would highly recommend Daniel and Steven’s tours!"
"Our family will forever reflect on this wonderful experience. Daniel was engaging throughout the tour and shared many valuable religious, historical, and cultural insights that will add to my contextual reading of the scriptures from this point forward in my life."
"One of the most valuable, life-changing experiences I have ever had. Daniel & Steven are absolutely profound. There is no other way to experience the Holy Land. To this day I am ever grateful. Thank you Daniel & Steven."
