"This has to be one of them or stingy restaurants I’ve ever visited. The number of times I’ve had to say, “can I please get more?” is a little strange. The ratio that they give you in carbohydrates compared to protein is kind of ridiculous. You’ll be paying like 10 to 12 bucks for a meal and 90% of it. It’s just rice or noodles. I ordered a kids bowl and the worker put three meatballs on and when it got to the end of the line his manager told him to take a meatball off of the bowl. What is the deal with that? You all know very well that people want protein. That’s what they’re paying for. If I pay seven dollars for a kids meal to get two little meatballs, and a whole bunch of rice, then you asked me to give you a tip at the end of that just for putting rice into a bowl for me, doesn’t that seem stingy? Yes, it is stingy. Very very stingy. Aside from that, there’s a wide array of vegetables, and options that a customer can see through the glass. But does the worker ask you what you would like on top of your bowl? Yes, but only two or three things. It’s as though everything else is not an option for you. I remember asking “can I please get some broccoli?” The worker acted like I was asking for an arm and a leg. And they put one little piece of broccoli in the bowl. I was once charged like four dollars or something for some shredded cucumbers. I’ve been to this place a lot of times, so this is a regular occurrence for me. I just like the food I go there for the food. I can’t get it anywhere else. But I sure wish they weren’t so stingy."
"The Green Curry sauce tastes very different than what’s normally served. The consistency is very watered down and has zero flavor. Where did the sauce go?"
"UPDATE: Still my favorite place. This location has the best service, too. All the team members at Woods Cross Zao are so kind and helpful! Every time I go there I leave feeling uplifted. I am always in the mood for something at Zao, regardless of how I feel, because there’s something for ever mood/appetite. It has become my go-to when I’m not sure where I want to eat out. I crave the soup and bowls most often, but also love the tacos."
