"We checked into the hotel and walked to our room. First the elevator took forever to show up, next we get into our room set our stuff down and used the bathroom that is where we saw around ten dead cockroachs all over the bathroom! It was a very nasty hotel and would not recommend staying here. When I went to check out no one came to the counter and wanted me to leave a hand written note for the reason we left."
"No hot water (not even warm) in the shower; impossible to bathe comfortably. No fitness center or breakfast despite advertisement - both rooms were being used for storage. (Too bad, since I was looking forward to using the fitness center.) Smell of cigarette smoke in rooms despite hotel being non-smoking, especially noticeable when heater was on. Common areas could definitely have been cleaner. Overall disappointing experience. However, the front desk attendant was super communicative and friendly, and she put me in a different room when I mentioned the smell of smoke in my first room. She was definitely trying to be helpful, so I’ll give extra stars for service. The comforter, sheets, and pillow were super warm and comfy, though. No issues with the bed itself. Normally I’m fine with budget lodging, but this one definitely missed the mark. I left a written request asking for a partial refund because of the cold shower but nobody reached back out. I cannot recommend this place at all in the current conditions."
"My wife and I arrived at 11:15 PM, we had reservations. In the lobby, the clerk was checking in a walk-in paying cash. The walk-in arrived 2 minutes before we did. It took until 11:40 before we were helped. The clerk had to make a few phone calls as there were some technical hurdles in the check-in process when paying cash that the clerk needed help with, no big deal, but it did take 20 minutes. Out check-in was pretty quick and efficient. Up to our room we went (#409). Walking in we could tell right away we would probably not be staying. Looking around: the room smelled "off", there was an empty hole where the fridge should have been, the counter trim above the fridge-hole was torn away, the balcony door (to the outside) wouldn’t latch, and had no door knob lock and the deadbolt assembly rotated with the deadbolt knob. Looking at the latch the actual ‘bolt’ of the dead bolt lock was completely missing. There was no way to secure the balcony door, it was able to be opened from the outside directly into our room. There were a couple of windows that opened and had no locks installed, again, they were able to be opened from the outside. Even though we were on the 4th floor, we would be attending several events over the weekend leaving valuables in a room with an unlockable door to the outside. I went to the front desk to express my concerns. I was given a key to the last available room (#408) to check out and see if it was better. I took a look and let’s say that it was “under renovation” to say the least! We were not staying. I went back to the front desk and said as much to the clerk. She was very helpful and understood. I asked for a refund and she gave me the info I needed to get that done. Turned out I didn’t have to do anything as my card only had a hold on it or something. I spoke to a manager over the phone a few days later about this and a day later there was no charge to my card, so at least money-wise there was no issue. My wife and I found the Double Tree on Yale St. It was a little drive but well worth it and the extra money https://maps.app.goo.gl/wSSYZWeYn6LeqSv1A . I worked evenings for years at a nice hotel while I was in college (bellmen/room service/concierge/restaurants/bars/ballrooms/catering and the whole nine yards). I know the difference between low and high-end hotels. I get it when a cheaper hotel has a hiccup here and there. I’ve found cheap hotels out on the road that were decent and had no issues. I’ve also found some moderate hotels that were complete sh1t-holes. I’m not going to bash this place but I will recommend reading a lot of the reviews here on Google Maps, a lot of them are not wrong. I will give kudos to the clerk and the manager I spoke to over the phone, they were nice, helpful, and understanding. Hotels are tough to run and run well. Good luck to them as this location is extremely convenient for traveling to Tulsa OK."
"Change in management recently and improvements are in the works. We didn't experience much of what has been said here. Our room was worn but clean, and no bugs. The staff was friendly and professional, and they're looking forward to the upcoming improvements. We would be willing to stay here again during next year's annual vacation to see how things are then."
"This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Everything in the hotel is dirty, from the room, to the hallways, to the lobby. There were stains in the bed and duvet that have clearly been there for quite some time. Worst of all, the bed has a giant crater in the middle of the bed that makes sleeping in it uncomfortable. As for the hotels 'Non-smoking' policy, the halls clearly reek of it. Every single employee from the front desk was smoking in the front of the hotel when we walked past the lobby. The bathroom didn't have soap in it either, and the towels were ripped, stained, and disgusting. I found bugs in my hotel room as well. The fact that this hotel is somehow rated 3.5 stars is an absolute joke. This place needs to be shut down."
