"Scanned my credit card and went to fill up my tank and the screen was frozen on the hyvee fuel saver card screen. I tried pushing multiple buttons to clear it and it didn't work so I moved to a different pump. Someone pulled up to the pump behind me and had no issues, I assumed that the screen had unfrozen for him. Turns out he filled his tank on my credit card, which I had scanned at the pump before the screen froze. I got charged for his gas and mine also. I called and the manager and she kept talking over and interrupting me, would not listen and kept arguing with me about what happened. I tried multiple times to explain to her I can clearly see the double charges on my credit card and I had also gotten text notifications for the second tank of gas that wasn't mine. She would not listen. I had to go back to the station and by that time they had pulled the film and receipts showing what I was saying was true. She was sugary sweet to me after that. They had to get authorization for the refund amount even though it was clearly not my gas, so I got to stand around and wait until they were allowed to give me my money back. I got the refund for the gas that had been charged but not without the manager giving me a bunch of advice about how to prevent this in the future at the pump. I think a better strategy would be to make sure your equipment is in working order rather than blaming the victim. Anyone who uses this hyvee gas station should be aware of how easily their equipment allowed someone else to use my card to fill their tank, and if you report it to them you will be treated like you are lying until they pull films and then you will be treated like you are the one at fault and given condescending advice once they reluctantly admit you are telling the truth."
"The employees were rude, obnoxious, and they always followed me around like I was going to steal something. All I was trying to get was a Gatorade. I decided to go to the grocery store where they treated me as a customer. I would not go there. I would rather pay $0.5 more for gas instead of dealing with the employees that work there."
"NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE. Despite having "ring bell for service" at multiple pumps. They do not acknowledge the "ring for service" bell (if they're even operational, I wouldn't know from my experience) they do not answer their phone. I have even called the hyvee store to have them transfer me. No answer. After about 25 minutes, I had to just ask a complete stranger to help. I'd rather not trust a stranger with my credit card."
"I usually come here in the morning to grab something for breakfast, and Ed (who is the gold standard for customer service) or another Hy-Vee employee of similar high-quality service takes care of me in a polite and warm manner. However I came at night not too long ago to a woman who acted like I was impeding her social media scrolling by asking her to do her job. "A helpful smile in every aisle"...how about an off-putting apathy complemented by a septum piercing and predominantly placed button that says "I hate it here"? Nice way to make you feel welcome."
"Just as you would expect getting gas is pretty straightforward just about anywhere you go!. Also you usually end up at a gas station that's either on your way to work or on your way home. That's the case here! The one thing that I look for in a gas station is are they open 24/7. This gas station is not so you're not able to get any Refreshments after 11 p.m. The store is clean the gas station is picked up and the pumping stations are lit very well in the evening."
