"Waste of time and money. Our teenager saw Max for about a year and regressed in almost every aspect of his life. Max did not do any of things he said he was going to do when my wife and I first met with him. He claimed that not every therapist is a match with a patient and that if things weren’t working he’d know early on and terminate the sessions. He did not do this even though it was abundantly clear he was not making progress with our son. Max claimed that he’s not one of those therapists that sees a patient forever just to collect a paycheck, that there should be an objective and once accomplished therapy could end. From what our son told us they never worked toward any goal or objective at all. Max seemed more determined to be a friend than therapist. Obviously I wasn’t present at their sessions so I cannot attest to their discussions but I can verify that he did not do what he told my wife and I he would. Our son is mentally unhealthier now than when he first started seeing Max. I wish we’d never gone."
