"Even though it says you're open on Saturday I just drove 1 hour out of my way to come to a closed office! No one ever answers the phone in your office nor do they return calls!! Our policy for our business was paid in full with a cashier's check, yet your office, the same day, did an electronic withdrawal for the full amount!! The withdrawal was not authorized....... You were paid twice and I can't find ANYONE to help me get the money back..... I'm not angry I'm livid!!!! When does anyone work in or out of your office that can get this taken care of???????"
"I purchased a home in November 2021, and at the closing prepaid my annual homeowner's policy premium. Last month I get a statement from my mortgage company that there is a shortage in my escrow. Come to find out that Allstate increased my premium over 40 percent without ever sending me any notices and this payment from escrow caused the shortage. The thing is, they based the increase on incorrect property information. They had added square footage that doesn't exist, and also stated I didn't have a basement, so they included this as regular above grade living area. The home has a basement, which is clearly visible upon exterior inspection, as well as any public data source and mls. Jeff called me 1 time to discuss this, and said he would look into the increase. I haven't been able to get a hold of him since, and that was over a month ago. Very disappointed and confused how they could increase the premium on a paid policy based on the wrong information. Seems like a bait and switch to me."
"DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY. I have fought with them for MONTHS on end because one of their incompetent agents forgot to cancel a policy that they got through a third party (American Modern) so I basically had two insurance policies for a year and didn't realize until it started messing with my mortgage payment/escrow. I have now spent countless hours on the phone trying to sort this out (one agent tried to tell me that I was mistaken about having the two policies) and they claim I need to be refunded by American Modern for a mistake that they themselves made. I have been reassured time after time that this issue has been resolved and yet I still have not received a refund check. They have lied through their teeth over and over and I will never purchase another policy through them, no matter how cheap. They should have made this right in the first place and paid me back, but instead shifted the responsbility. You would think that the head honcho would have reached out and ensured that things were set right, but no. Apparently, customer service just isn't important to them. Maybe I'll get a phone call after this review, eh?"
"Super friendly. I love Helen who I speak with frequently when calling. I would definitely recommend. **review edited to a 3 due to constant pressuring for new services and a bad move that left me without car insurance for a small period of time without proper notice (they only send notification through the app, whether or not you use it, nothing else is "secure".) Switched to progressive saving over $600 a year. They still have my home insurance though."
