"Cool-looking spot, and the staff members were nice. The drinks were good, but the drink menu was limited. We were also surprised a place that literally has the word cocktails in the name closes at 6pm -- hopefully the downtown location will extend its hours at some point!"

"Well, hello Dolly! This place is great. The new menu is super fun and we didn't know they do brunch until this trip! I can't remember all of the letters in the BLT but yum. The waffles were delicious and the Bloody Mary is probably my favorite in town. Well done, team!! Keep slaying. We can't wait to try the other new items. You are definitely worth circling the block for a parking spot. :)"

"I have heard so many good things about Stir. I finally made my way in before going to a reserved dinner across the street. My girlfriend and I were only greeted with a "take a seat wherever you like." We chose to sit at the bar rail as that's our preference, but it took another maybe 5 minutes to be acknowledged further where we only got water. I would understand if she was actually making drinks or if the establishment was full of patrons, but it wasn't. Since I couldn't decide on coffee or a cocktail, I decided to order an espresso martini. The bartender, a younger lady with a large knitted gray hairband, told me, "It's not on the menu since whoever makes the menu never put it on there." This should have told me it's a signature cocktail, not a classic espresso since it's made with something similar to Bailey cream. This moment should have told me that she doesn't know the difference, maybe? I went ahead to order it anyway since I'm open to riffs, but I then witnessed her put at least 1 full ounce of monin vanilla syrup in my cocktail (she used a jigger) so it was very clear. I was open to it and drank the cocktail, and it was way too sweet. My girlfriend ordered the "Wuthering Chai," which tasted very potent, to say the least. In short, I tasted and witnessed the lack of balancing of her cocktails and an average welcome. Obviously, this could have been recovered, but it wasn't. One of the most important steps in service was missed. The simple care of asking how the first few sips tasted never was asked. I would have told her to remake both drinks or order something different. This is why my review is 2 stars. Afterwards, I watched the bartender struggle to garnish a cocktail with strawberries and kept cutting and taking the strawberries in and out of the cocktail with a spoon. Overall, it seemed like she didn't know how to make cocktails very well. In short, the biggest reasons for a two star review are; 1. Steps being skipped in service, which shows the lack of attention and care 2. The lack of experience the bartender portrayed. 3. The very average welcoming (honestly, it felt like she was an order taker, not a bartender/ server) My girlfriend and I will go back another day to give it a chance as we really wanted to enjoy our cocktails. Note: I didn't eat any food or drink coffee, which I'm sure is great, but if the establishment has the word "cocktails" in it, I expected better."

"My daughters & I checked out the Stir Downtown for the first time today. Different atmosphere than the other one, but with a downtown vibe. Same amazing food & service. The biscuits and gravy are the best I’ve ever had. I wasn’t able to even finish them because my daughter loved them so much & finished my place. The chocolate croissant my daughter fished first, before finishing mine. Thank you Amber for always giving the best service!"
