"This review is specific to the new management under the name Black Lapel. I was not a customer of Ratio so cannot speak to how it has changed, but my personal experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The new manager, Bradley, has been a pleasure to work with in every step of the suit buying process, from the initial fitting all the way to final adjustments. He is very knowledgeable and made the process really easy. If you’re looking for high quality custom-made menswear with fantastic customer service, I highly recommend Black Lapel and Bradley specifically!"
"Went into Black Lapel yesterday with my fiancé expecting to just look at suit colors and options for our wedding. I had no intentions of purchasing anything but the service I had exceeded my expectations from the moment we walked in. Needless to say we bought a suit ! Bradley was very knowledgeable and walked us through the process while giving us informative feedback on every option you could get on a suit. I have never had a custom piece of clothing made ever yet as overwhelming as it seemed Bradley did a great job at making sure we were happy before moving on.I will be recommending anyone I know to take the time and visit these guys if ever they have suit needs."
"I've held off from writing this review for a few months, thinking I'd sort of "get over it," but I just can't, so here's my honest review of my experience getting a custom suit made for my wedding from Ratio Clothing. So, I decided I wanted to use a local shop to get a custom suit made for my wedding as opposed to using one of the big chains, thinking I'd get a better quality suit, with better service (boy was I wrong). Everything seemed normal at first: I had my measurements done, I talked to the owner (honestly cool/nice guy), and went home to wait for the suit to arrive, knowing it would likely need revisions (which is fine.) When the suit finally came, I headed for my first fitting and it fit absolutely horribly. The jacket was 2x too big, the pants were falling off, and it had no taper, whatsoever. Sort of weird, given that it was supposed to be based off of my measurements, but whatever they could fix it after, right? So, I got refitted and they sent the suit back off again for be corrected. The good news is I did all of this early enough l, just to ensure there was PLENTY of time before the wedding. So, I waited around for over a month, waiting for the suit to come back from the tailor, and I got the call around 1 day before the wedding. So, I drove down the Denver to try on my refitted suit...and guess what? It fit exactly the same. So, apparently what happened is that the tailor had legitimately just sat around holding my suit for a month (while doing nothing), then took out all the pins and just sent it back. The owner was extremely apologetic and said nothing like this had ever happened before and was so shocked something like this could even happen. So, action time: I had an unfinished, unusable suit with 24 hours until I needed to leave for my wedding. Ratio promised they'd get it done and made it their #1 priority. I kept it cool and said, "hey, as long as I look good for my wedding, all accidents are forgiven!" I kept my spirits high and trusted they would treat me right Well...they got it "done," technically, but to this day, what I got back from that emergency rush job is the single worst looking suit I've ever worn in my entire life. It fit so weird that when my 87 year old granny, who was unable to travel to my wedding due to mobility issues, saw my expensive wedding pictures, the first thing she said was "what's wrong with Brent's suit?" I am beyond embarrassed that I was THE single worst looking man at my wedding and ALL of my pictures made me look like I decided to just wear a "hand-me-down" on the most important days of my life Funny thing, I actually went to Suit Supply to have a Tuxedo made about 2 weeks after my wedding...they turned around an AMAZING looking/fitting tux in about 2 weeks while it took Ratio over 2 months to give me an absolutely horrible looking piece of garbage (that actually tore on my wedding...the shoulder started separating from the body on my wedding day.) I got another suit from Indochino that also looks great, which just confirms it's not me. It was Ratio. Like I said, I have no doubt the owner did everything he could, but my goodness, who ever did the tailoring did the most lazy, awful job on my suit I have literally ever seen. I am so disappointed in the way my suit turned out, and the immense stress they put my through right down to the wire. It was probably the biggest waste of $1500 I've ever had, in my life. Moral of the story: don't just assume that shopping local means "better quality." Whoever did the tailoring at Ratio for my suit should be ashamed of the way they treated my suit. I looked horrible, felt horrible, and am constantly reminded of how bad I looked every time I see my wedding photos. I didn't want to write this review, but I feel like I had to. They let me down so much. Really disappointed TLDR: Ratio screwed up and sent my suit back to the store without having tailored it and then tried to rush it through the tailoring process again with less than 24 hours...and it looked like absolutely terrible on my wedding day"

"I am not a guy that spends a lot of time shopping so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was happy to find the measuring process was super simple. I received my shirt in about 2 weeks and the fit is just what I was looking for, no extra material around my waist and no big puffy sleeves but not restrictive when I move. I will be ordering more!"
