"We lived here for 2 years. The property switched hands twice during our time here which led to a whole slew of issues. Griffis Blessing is who had it when we moved out in May 2023. They were better than the previous owners; however, the move out process was a dumpster fire. We left due to moving out of state and when our new landlord contacted them for a reference, they said they never received a notice to vacate and couldn’t provide a reference. Luckily, I had a paper trail as proof. When I called the office to figure out what was going on, I was hung up on twice and when I emailed the evidence, the situation was resolved without any acknowledgement of or apology for their mistakes (surprising because their actions could have resulted in us losing out on a place to live after weeks of searching). A few days later and 3 weeks before I actually moved, I had an individual knock on my door interrupting a meeting and stating that he was told no one lives there any longer and needed to do some loud and intrusive work. The day I turned in the keys, the people in the office acted as though they had no idea I was leaving. All in all, living there wasn’t horrible but do be sure to cover your bases and ALWAYS have a paper trail. Edited to add: After 5 months of silence and a return of our full deposit (4 months ago), we have received an e-mail from Sarah Dundee, property manager, saying we owe money and it’s the “second notice”. We’ve received no other notice and they have not made every attempt to contact us before threatening collections (no phone calls and no first notice). If there were outstanding charges, they should have come out of the deposit. At this point, none of this was worth it and I caution anyone looking here to stay away."
"Legit the worst place I’ve ever lived and I’m from a poor area in Appalachia. I can’t wait to leave CO and go back. So much crime with homeless people everywhere. If you’re female you can’t walk around by yourself. Multiple people have had their cars broken into and catalytic converters stolen. Surrounded by illegals and crack heads. Police are also here more then any place I’ve lived in the past 38 years. No security. Took a literal month to get my blinds fixed so they closed. Gun shots at night, and I know the difference between fireworks."
"I’ve lived here since 2021 and have had non stop issues from not having water for days, not having hot water for days, roaches infesting the building, the laundry machines break with your clothes inside it, there has been multiple shootings, along with other safety issues. We have been through THREE property management companies and all of them have ignored basic requirements for residents. Think twice about moving here. Cannot wait to move out in 2023. Update: they do not inform residents half the time when water gets shut off to the building or when repairs and renovations are taking place. I’ve been stuck inside my apartment for two days until the late afternoon because of flooring being redone because it’s something wet. We have live to live and animals to take out for potty and children to raise. We are sick as residents who pay over $1000 for a single months rent to be left in the dark about important matters."
"Total scam. I applied for an apartment there. Me and my brother. The lady at the front told us they had a unit available. And that the 375.00 deposit would lock us in the apartment and if after the credit check we did not qualify we would get the deposit refunded. So they said we did not qualify and needed a co signer. Which was bs cause we both have good credit and rental history. Its been a month and half and i still have not gotten my deposit back. So yeah they stole 375 bucks from me"
"I reluctantly signed a lease here in 2020 (I was in a weird spot with COVID during a divorce, etc) and signed a 4 month lease. In that short time my truck was broken into twice and hit once in their parking lot, this could be expected given the area, however my reason for a 1 star review follows. The apartment had a rodent infestation which I took care of myself, though all I could do was eradicate them from my apartment and hope to seal them out of my space (I am sure the other apartments had the same), I lost heat for a period of three days over a weekend and had to purchase space heaters as I was the dead of winter, and the oven was so disgusting that I never used it (I bought a toaster oven, instapot, and air fryer to get by (the stove top was fine)). Regardless of all of this and the repairs that I made myself I left the place absolutely spotless. Security deposits are not much there and I think I only paid around $300. Thing is, your security deposit gets refunded through a TX office. They will not send it back to you, they will not return phone calls, and now over two years after moving out I am still without those funds. At this point it isn’t really a big deal to me, however I feel that prospective tenants should be aware. Hopefully this review will cause concern to folks before signing a lease and cause them to reconsider, and even more so hopefully the business will change their practices based on this- though I seriously doubt that they will."
