"I would NOT recommend living here. Terrible place. I file a noise complaint almost every week because of loud neighbors and pets in the complex. My car also got stolen here and they don’t have cameras. When I moved in, the apartment smelled like smoke and the complex would not pay for the cleaning so we had to pay hundreds of dollars to deep clean it ourselves. It takes WEEKS to get any work orders completed. Do NOT live here!"
"I've lived here now for 4 month's, and honestly can't wait for the lease to be up. Relocated over 1700 miles from NJ and its been a nightmare ever since. As a resident who pays on the 1st of the month without ever being late, I have experienced problem after problem since moving in. Including our apartment not even being the correct unit we were promised. Mismatched appliances from 1 unit we rent vs a 2nd unit we rent (same exact 2 bed 2 bath in this community) as well due to our family size. We pay over 4k per month between 2 apartments only to have this type of experience. Not to mention the Faulty equipment that has to completely die before they replace it. We've even had our move in inspection report lost by the office, which is completely unprofessional considering thats how they determine resident charges upon move out. Lease signing day our lease was completely wrong, with inaccurate buliding number and address, in addition to lease terms and amount. In addition we have had multiple work orders sitting open since we moved in. The response from management is "We're doing what we can",/ "We're doing our best While the staff is pleasant, I do find that the management company is clearly negligent and incompetent when it comes to managing a property this size and delegating tasks downstream to the physical community staff. I'd also like to add that Chris and the rest of the maintenance guys are wonderful. I am in no way blaming them, they can only do what they are told from the office/management company, and that is honestly the root of all of this. Calls to Greystar corporate offices and social media post will go unanswered. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Its not worth living here. Not to mention cars are REPEATEDLY broken into, and the amount of pet waste and trash in the community is off putting. I don't own a pet, but can't tell you the number of times I, or my children, have stepped in dog poop because its EVERYWHERE. Hopefully they will gain control of the property, but the way its going, I wouldn't refer anyone to move in. Take your time and do your research! There are other fabulous properties in the area who actually manage their community and provide a great resident experience."
"Would not recommend. Multiple maintenance request that go unanswered. When leasing office is questioned about them, they only respond “they will get to it, we are backed up”. This is no fault of the 1 single maintenance man for the entire complex… he does a great job. However the way this company manages their staff, or lack there of, is absurd. They have outsourced to temporary work agencies to fill positions for the day and given them no training, knowledge or access to the system, leaving the residents no resolution to any issues at hand when they call with questions when the temp workers are in. We have lived here for 2 years. We pay over $2,000 a month in rent for a 2 br/1bath on time every single month without issue but can’t get maintenance to fix our items and even have to deal with a homeless camp behind our complex. We recently had our “rent paid by a different tenant on accident”, the leasing office explained to us that this is a reoccurring issue with the same tenant paying other people’s rent instead of their own however they have not found a resolution with that tenant. In the beginning of December, we contacted the leasing office questioning why our rent was significantly smaller than normal and they originally explained that we must have been overpaying rent previously and had a credit applied to our account for the month. We went about the month believing that our rent was paid. On the 15th, the leasing office then charged the previously paid rent to the correct account half way through the month, threatened us with eviction for now being late on the payment (after the rent was paid by the other tenant in person to the leasing office -WHICH IS NOT OUR FAULT OR RESPONSBILITY- and then taken off of our account) leaving us to scramble to pay 2 months worth of rent within the next 2.5 weeks, right before Christmas. I’m thankful that I do not have children or a large family because I understand that this situation could have caused an extreme issue. Leasing staff hung up on me twice when I called to resolve the issue with the rent and figure out what really happened. I then went to the leasing office in person to discuss further, the current staff gave me no solution, and so now I will be charged rent on the 15th and again in 2 weeks on the 1st. Do not rent here. Grey Star sucks."
"Absolutely terrible place to live if you enjoy the hood environment and being charged for every little thing you should live here. Rent is way overpriced for what you get and when you move out they will make you pay to have the apartment renovated and modernized. Absolute scam and the office won’t even itemize what you owe just generic numbers so you don’t get your deposit back. In 8 years of renting apartments in multiple states this is the first time I have not gotten my security deposit back. I also bought out of my lease for almost 4 grand you would think that’s enough money right there taking that from a 25 year old"
"Lived here for a couple years now, only reason I'm leaving is because I'm buying a house. Actually, I had moved away for about a year living with friends and I decided to come back! Quiet most of the time, good neighborhood and the management is consistently updating the premises. First I would like to compliment the day staff, I have had the privilege of getting to know them over the couple years I have been in town. Very helpful with anything you could possibly throw at them. Professional, compassionate, and going the extra mile for their residents! Anita is an absolute rockstar and saint, and I would like to compliment Lindsay, Nikki, along with all the other front office staff. They have made living here a breeze. The maintenance staff are superstars as well, any time we had an issue, (even something as simple as a lightbulb being out) they were there to fix the issue promptly! Thanks guys! Like I said, great neighborhood, staff, and community. Clean premises, quiet, and great views! I would come back a THIRD time if I had to pick an apartment again. Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt, the #1 reason someone leaves a review is when they have a less than favorable experience, don't read or understand the rules, have very little common sense or just want to complain. Very seldom do you hear from a happy customer. This is a fine place to live and would recommend to anyone just getting into town or looking for a first place!"
