Mountain Shadows Apartments

"I don't know about any of the people posting reviews prior to my arrival here on November 15 2017. We all do what we do and say what we say, for whatever reason. If I'm a negative person then all I'm going to see is negativity; in other words, be blind. From my first conversation and meeting with the Manager, Consuela, I have been treated with utmost respect, concern and professionalism. Every message I have ever left has been answered promptly. She has gone out of her way to make me feel welcome and I have repaid this with grateful responsibility. My one bedroom apartment was spotless and new upon move in. My one concern was addressed immediately. I am very happy here and recommend Consuela and these apartments very highly. She responds to my hard work with her own. We get in return what we give out. If all I ever put out into the universe is negativity and a sense of entitlement to something I haven't earned, then all I will get back is what I deserve, negativity. I work hard and show respect then I get that in return. I get treated the exact way I treat others, its really very simple. Quit whining, if you dont like it, leave. Period."

"When we moved in on June 11th the then manager refused to meet us on Sunday after we had already made arrangements with her to be there on Sunday. We had arranged for 2 men and a truck to unload our 16 ft Budget truck and had to cancel until Monday. We had to return the truck by noon on Monday and ended up paying more because of that. She wasn't even there at the time she agreed on. Her excuse for missing our original move in date was that she was tired and worked too hard. Not soon after we moved in another manager was brought in and much to our relief. We needed our sliding patio door fixed because it was put in backwards and a security risk to our apartment according to the maintenance manager. Also we were promised a screen door to put on the outside of the patio door. We were put on a maintenance list to have both problems fixed. I just got back from a weeks trip to Oregon to visit my daughter and just went to the office to find out about the progress. To my dismay the original manager we had problems with had been moved back to manage our apartments. I asked what the progress after 4 months had been made on our requests. I was told to put another request in and I told her the original request was made 4 months ago. It made no difference and I was told I would not get my screen door at all because it wasn't summer. I left upset!!! If anyone in upper management reads this please come to my defense. Worse Manager I have ever met and there was even a petition by residents before we moved there to have Cynthia removed or they would move.. Love the area and have a nice apartment but Cynthia could cause us to move. She does not deserve to represent your apartments or management. I suggest you do something soon."

"The woman that replaced Jennifer is a nightmare. She refuses to fix ANYTHING that isn't completely necessary. I've been requesting to have my door fixed for seven months and on the rare occasions that she actually responds, she's extremely rude. If you call, she won't answer. If you drop by, she either has a sign saying "temporarily out of the office" or she just went home an hour early. I've been trying to get a hold of her every day for the past two weeks now, for all the good it will do me. Never mind how cheap and disgusting the apartment is to begin with; now I have to deal with management bouncing between anger and apathy."

"This is Justin not Shelly. This place is bullshit. The laundry room has been down for two and a half months. The rents goes up. The office looks fancy. The management don't give a crap about people but tenancy. They draw you in just to screw you over. I have been here going on seven years and they have not have us one upgrade. They are a crappy place to live with this new management and maintenance. It is false to say this is the best place to live. Maybe when Jennifer was here but this new person only cares about the office. My ceiling leaked the first four out of six years I was here. They still have not fixed all the mold in my bathroom. Nothing has been attempted to be fixed. It was a good place to live but now no... No it is one of the scummiest place to live. Slumlord management now. They only fix everything outside to draw you in."

"LOVED Jennifer and my first year at this property. They recently replaced Jennifer and getting anything fixed is like pulling teeth. Our building hasn't had a working dryer in weeks, our prepayed water keeps getting shut off with no notice and the new women is just absolutely unreasonably rude. Really disappointed, when Jennifer was here I felt like a wanted Tennant, now I'm prepaying for water and trash I can't use. The property is quiet, but not nearly as clean as it used to be."
