"EDITED TO REPLY TO THISTLE'S RESPONSE: The phone system they are referring to in their response is literally the worst thing in the world. They claim it is suppose to help them with accountability but in reality, it just allows them to avoid your phone calls. They will hide and not return your calls for as long as possible. What a mess!!!!! Do not be fooled Thistle is a disaster. They will tell you lies to get you to sign a lease, and you will soon find out that the things they claimed are not true. I have never rented from a worse company. Currently, my property manager's phone number is disconnected with a Verizon error message. All other phone numbers provided to me are either disconnected or have a full voicemail. I would have moved out years ago if I could afford to. It takes weeks, sometimes months, to get a response from Management. Getting in touch with someone is like pulling teeth. Their "convenient" call center links to random unaffiliated customer service reps in other states. The reps always promise to get a message to management and for a call back but I almost never get a call back. It has been like this the whole time I have lived here, impossible to get in touch with anyone. This is unacceptable! They do not respond to health and safety hazards in a timely manner and have left me living in unacceptable conditions for 2+ years without solving the issue. Most repairs go months without response or repair. Trust me, don't let the low price tag fool you - it's not worth it."

"This company really went above and beyond to try to assist us in getting into a rental home. They were very nice and did so much to try to try to work with our family. However, the application process takes a really long time so we ended up getting into a different place before we got a response from them about our application. From previous rentals with them I remember having good communication with employees once you actually go to the office in person, but it's impossible to get them on the phone. They maintenance their properties in a timely manner and treat tenants with respect. Overall I don't have any issues with this company, so that's nice when generally landlords can be difficult to work with."

"About as much as you can expect from affordable government housing in the United States. I lived in one of the Longmont properties and maintenance generally took hours to even respond, even if you were locked out of your apartment. You have to make under a certain limit and if you make that amount there's no way you can afford living there. Management changed three times within 4 months that I was trying to contact them (it must also blow to be employed here) and I was charged a cleaning fee when I moved out even though I hired a cleaning service to deep clean my apartment. The cleaning fee was never refunded. I highly do not recommend housing through thistle."

"This is the Kimbark property. If you don't mind living among trash & litter; well the price is right. Good luck going through Thistle's Philippino based answering service trying to get someone from management to call you. I moved here in 2016 and the rent has gone up consistently and is inversely related to management responsiveness."
