Reviews of Coronado Apartments
"I lived in this apartment complex for almost four years, and I can confidently say that it's a great place to live. Although it's an older apartment complex, the management team has done an excellent job accommodating and working towards new renovations, which is highly appreciated. During the pandemic, I shared my opinion that the coin-operated machines were challenging to use due to the coin shortage, but Mary and the team were quick to work on getting new cards or app-activated machines. Whenever there was maintenance work to be done in units surrounding mine, Mary would always inform me in advance, and I would either work from a coffee shop or adjust my meeting schedule accordingly. The small gym was added into the complex, which was close to my unit, making it very easy and convenient for me to get my workout/movement in during a busy workday without having to drive somewhere else. I also appreciated Frank, the maintenance guy, who went above and beyond to assist me with moving my couch into my unit when I moved in. From that day forward, Frank made it his mission to check in on me and ask about my family back home. He would sometimes take out the trash for me or even help carry groceries upstairs, which was very thoughtful of him. The only downside was that parking was minimal, and there was not enough street parking for guests, which could be a hassle. However, the towing company would tow a car if it did not have the proper decal (or if they couldn't see it), as this happened to me once, but that's not the apartment complex's fault. Overall, I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone who values simplicity, lower prices, and convenience. Although people can always find something to complain about with any apartment complex, this one is a great choice for those who want a comfortable living space with a few amenities, easy access to the bus, grocery stores, and other conveniences."
"I was a resident at Coronado for a year and I want to leave a review for this wonderful complex because I truly love the energy this complex gives to its residents, complex, and fellow staff. Gary, Shelly, the maintenance, and the entire front office are a force to be reckoned with —super supportive and helpful apartment complex. I cannot thank them enough for the help, assistance, and patience they gave to me and my roommate. They were kind and swift with phone calls, maintenance help and any concerns (if they did arise). I am thankful for the maintenance as well: they helped me when I was having trouble dissembling a furniture piece when moving out and were sweet and caring in the process of doing so. They care for their community, have empathy, and care to make sure the residents have a peaceful and happy stay/leave. I am thankful to have had a wonderful experience at coronado.. the workers extended my experience at the coronado apartments to a 5/5 google stat rating."
"Reposted from Yelp-I lived at Coronado for my last year of college & it was my favorite place I lived at in Boulder! The neighborhood is serene with a beautiful view of the Flatirons & perfect distance to central Boulder. The leasing process was so easy. Our apartment even came with new appliances! The price is amazing for the Boulder area. The staff were always kind, helpful, & cooperative. I would definitely recommend living here! -Arrianna L"
"When I moved out (I believe about a month after the apartment building changed managements in 2019), I was provided an invoice stating that all my costs were paid and I had no outstanding debts or charges. Several months later I received multiple calls from three different debt collections agencies attempting to collect about $300 that I supposedly still owed. I was never contacted by Coronado apartments in any manner, and all my attempts to contact them by phone and email never got me through to an actual person. I finally just paid the money to one agency to avoid the headache after being unable to contact Coronado for an entire year. I moved out four and half years ago and was just contacted by yet another debt collector asking for this money. Make sure that you meet with management staff when moving out and obtain a signed document stating you do not owe anything, though judging from other review that might not help you either."
"I'm a current resident at the Coronado. First time writing a review, but potential residents need to look elsewhere. Literally, anywhere else. For a place with ZERO amenities (no gym, no pool, no business center, etc.) they are still charging Boulder's ridiculously high pricing for a tiny 1 bed/1bath. Units do not have washer/dryers. Yes, they have a laundry facility but they are rarely operational and you have to pay to do your laundry. For the last month the hot water has either been completely out (for a full week and half of that) or intermittent outages occur. They have done absolutely nothing to compensate residents for this. Renters have an assigned parking space, but the towing company is predatory. They circle the lot looking for cars to tow. No guests can park on the lot at all. Walls and floors are thin and unless you are on the top floor, you will hear every step of your upstairs neighbors. The bedroom window faces the stairwell so I cannot even have the blinds open without people being able to see in. It is impossible to sit in peace on the balcony because of the traffic on Table Mesa and even if it is quiet, there is a constant smell of sewage because of a nearby drain on the property."
