"Owners was pretty rude in the ID department . He didn’t believe I was 21 so he quized me in a rude way . If you don’t believe I’m 21 that’s fine but have an ID scanner not ask what year I graduated high school like that effects my age"
"Very convenient to get my booze here when I am too drunk to drive. They close early though"
"Great selection of goods and drinks for a small store. It's been well thought out."
"I have always found the Mercado Corner Market a friendly and helpful place. Following the CoVid-19 pandemic, they seemed to work hard to increase their food offerings, which probably was appreciated by folks who live at Pinyon Terrace. I am not sure why a person who wanted PBR Tallboys, and cheap Vodka would elect to shop at MCM. ..The Sonoco is closer, on foot for the folks without driver's licences, and the Elmore's corner liquor store caters to all tastes. Plus, at the Sonoco, you can get your child a hot dog, or a cup of Ramen noodles...or an ice cream. As, indeed, all but alcoholic parents can do at the Family Dollar, WalMart, Mercado Corner Market, or..even...The Sonoco Gas Station. Which has lots of tacky beer. And a reasonable attempt at foodstuffs. Toilet paper, paper towels, and sodas. And can be walked to by those who are bipedal and choose not to be arrested. Again. And Again...as Habitual traffic offenders...Mercado Mkt serves both the employed, and the social serviced section. In my opinion the do a great job at doing both. If they accepted Fool Stamps, it would be helpful. I've said the same to Donna at Sonoco. One can only assume there is some reason why a Republican refuses. While living in a neighborhood with a substantial poverty level."
"My husband sent me for three specific, popular and fairly universal things: A pint of Jim Beam, a six pack of Pabst tall boys, and a pint of cheapish vodka for me. They only sell 750ml of Beam, they carry no tall boys of Pabst and the cheapest vodka they had was $22. I know it's a fairly preppy hood but wow. I was pretty shocked. No pints of Beam was REALLY crazy. However, the sales clerk was very nice and the store was well organized and clean. But I can't rate it higher because they had not one single thing I went for. A shame really..."
