"The staff was friendly for the most part, however I had several issues with my visit, including my exam being inaccurate. My exam came out with both eyes having different and better vision than the several years of consistent prescription for both eyes. I went to Walmart Vision to get my eyes rechecked the week after going to Vista Eye because I didn't trust the prescription, and it was the same as it has been for years - my eyes didn't get better. Another major issue for me - they are forceful about getting you to buy glasses through them. After my exam I was told someone will come get me to help me pick out glasses as the doctor was walking out the door, despite never expressing interest in buying glasses that day and didn't have a chance to say no thank you. Someone came and got me and told me to pick out the glasses I want while they get my prescription ready, and I caved a little and checked them out while they got my prescription printed out but they only have designer frames - I found some I like but for over $620? No thanks. I looked online out of curiosity and found the exact same designer ones for $230. The cheapest frames I found at this location were still over $300, and that was just for the frames.. I wasn't going to buy them either way because I didn't trust my prescription accuracy and she was very pushy, despite me saying I can't afford any of the frames, even saying they offer 20% off after saying I have tons of medical bills and can't afford new designer glasses.. I was literally sweating because I was so uncomfortable by the salesman pressure and could not wait to get out of there. They also didn't give me any type of sunglasses after my exam for my dilated eyes - when I walked outside into the sunlight I could barely see at all and got an instant headache. Thankfully I found some sunglasses in my car, or else I would not have been able to see to drive myself home. Overall it was such a yikes experience for a seemingly professional practice, definitely DO NOT recommend!!"

"I have been going here for a while and it’s sad to say they have gone down hill. The Doctor I see is very nice and caring, but the rest of the staff is very rude and it seems like they don’t have time for questions they just want to get you out of there as fast as possible. I would not recommend going here."

"I recently went for a surprisingly relaxing eye exam for a Progressive prescription at Vista Eye Care in Thornton. Dr. Abert kept me informed and laughing as he discussed all aspects of my eye health and spent time making sure the prescription was right for up close, far, and computer distance. Kathy was a friendly expert who picked multiple frames for me to try on that she knew would look great with my face shape and, amazingly, she stayed in the price range I told her I needed. When the glasses came in (a little earlier than planned), Megan was awesome in my try on and question-answering session. A pleasant experience from beginning to end and I LOVE my new glasses!!"

"I wish I can express how horrible my experience has been with vista eye care with this review and I’m gonna try. I made an appointment after my glasses were broken while at work. I tried to explain that my insurance has changed but the administrative staff told me no it is the same with insurance that I used before so it should be ok. Had my appointment and ordered my glasses at the beginning of January last year. They told me it would take 2 weeks for them to be delivered. After 3 weeks I called and they said the lenses were broken when they were delivered and it’s gonna take another 2 weeks for a replacement. I did not receive my glasses until the middle of February. A month and a half after my appointment. I took this as a bad experience and moved on. I received a call in march saying that they charged the wrong insurance company and I have 5 days to pay 150 dollars towards my bill or else they will send me to collections. I came in and paid the rest of the bill due to the incompetence of this office. I thought I was done with this office until I had a scratch on one of my lenses. I knew I had a year warranty so I brought my glasses back. I made an appointment for them to replace the lenses and was told that it would take 30-45 minutes to replace them and they would call me when they were done. I sat outside the office for an hour and a half before I had to call the office for them to check on my glasses. They were done and they just forgot to call me. So I came into the office and had to wait 20 minutes for somebody to just give me my Glasses back. In total it took 2 hours for them to replace my lenses."
