"Took my wife here for med management only. They put her in patient to get the fastest care for med management and treated her like a prisoner. We were not under the impression that’s what the unit was like and she by far was not in a condition to be in that unit with others at high intensity mental health care levels. We unfortunately do not trust this place and she was absolutely terrified."
"I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone it was a terrible experience. I went there voluntarily looking to get help for my condition and it just made me feel worse. The only good thing about this place was recreational therapy, the rec therapists were good. But other than that no. Power and control was the “treatment” method. The nurse practitioner I saw talked to me for maybe 2 minutes she couldn’t even let me finish a sentence. Then kept assuming what was going on with me and using that as reason to keep me there. Consistently felt misunderstood. The food is disgusting and you’re forced to eat it, and I know hospital food is usually bad but this was on a whole other level of bad Voluntary status means nothing at this place I wasn’t technically on a hold but I was. So many staff abused their power. One nurse in particular, Malinda, threatened to have the doctor put a hold on me for “bugging her” after I asked her 3 questions. She was dismissive and not available most of the time as well. Then another nurse was just generally argumentative. I did not get all the medical meds that I needed, and the psych NP decided to bump up my dose of anxiety meds simply because that was the only dose they had. The carelessness over that bothers me I mean that was literally a 2 sentence conversation. It was like you take care of the staff and not the other way around. Please them and do what you’re told. They also just didn’t really care. The therapy groups were ok it was mainly just we watch a YouTube video and talk about it. I’ve been to much better places that actually helped."
"This place was awesome. The staff treated me with the utmost respect and kindness. I feel they were very professional. They took me from a dark place and gave me hope. I hope I can make them proud and keep myself away from alcohol. Thank you for being there for me."
"***Long review*** When I first found out I was going here for treatment, I won’t lie I was very nervous and concerned. Seeing all the bad reviews on here made me wonder whether I should go outside of the springs. I decided I would give it a shot, and I’m so glad I did! Honestly these people don’t get enough credit for all the care they do. The therapists, psychiatrists, doctors, and techs went out of their way to make sure I was properly cared for. Special shout outs to Tee the tech that I had on my first day and Oscar the nurse I had for a main portion of my stay. Tee went above and beyond and had a fantastic attitude! She was super personable and made my first day a bit easier to get through. Oscar was an amazing nurse and always gave me a fist pump after med pass. The food was better than dorm food but definitely not 5 star status. I really took a lot away from the group sessions and working with the docs individually. They were able to figure out a diagnoses that had gone unnoticed for several years. They listened to my concerns about starting a new medication and the possible side effects I would deal with. Overall they made sure I got the right meds, added on vitamins that I was deficient in, and made sure to provide my family with regular updates as to my treatment and my overall wellbeing. For being a psychiatric hospital, this place did a fantastic job and provided the best comfort they could, while making sure all the patients felt safe and heard. I can’t begin to describe how much this place made a difference for me and being able to help me continue on my path to recovery. Thank you for everything Peak View!"
"I have been here multiple times, let's face it life gets hard. Here you're greeted with kindness and compassion. Unit 200 was where I was and Everett and Ryan, the day and nighshift nurses were so unbelievably attentive. They truly care about the people they serve. Dana and Morena were the techs during my stay and are absolutely Rockstars. I wish there was more therapy throughout the day as it would make the time there more valuable."
