Bowman's Bowstrings

"I recently used two of Bowman's recurve strings in the PanAmerican Field Championships in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina. This was a challenging field archery competition in the South American jungle. Despite a torrential downpour on the first day and blistering heat on the second, both strings came though with flying colors in the wet and voluminous mud. Thanks, Will and team! "I just got done with the PanAm games in Argentina. While I was there the weather took a toll on everyone’s strings and cables. I reached out to Will and told him I needed a new set ASAP. Will immediately got on it and made sure I had a new set ready for me upon my return to the states. I’ve used a lot of string makers over the years, and never had the quality of strings/cables and customer service as I have with Will. I only shoot Bowman’s Bowstrings, and have exclusively used them for a couple years. Whether it’s my hunting bows or my competition bows. Will is unbeatable in quality and service. "I’ll first say that my interactions with everyone at Bowman’s Shop was professional and welcoming. I took in my RX7 to get new limbs and strings put on and that’s where it all fell apart for me. 1. They cracked one of the new limbs during install. 2. When putting my old limbs back on with their new strings they routed the cables incorrectly. 3. And lastly and most dangerous they didn’t fully seat in the E Clips locking my cams in place to the limbs. I got home from the shop not noticing it and started shooting. I felt a pop during a draw so I let down. After inspecting the bow I noticed both E Clips were no longer attached on my bottom Cam pin and one of the limbs was MM’s away from popping off, potentially causing a catastrophic event and blowing up my bow in my hand. I’m not trying to attack them personally because they are very nice people and people make mistakes but after almost having my bow blow up in my hands it’s a pure safety issue and I can’t let that one go."

"I have used all three archery shops in town and each has its strengths. But Will Bowman tops the other two by a mile for two reasons: the fact that he makes his own bowstrings and 2. his attention to customer service and satisfaction. His involvement with the community is a close third. I’ll never go to either of the other shops again just so that I can support Will Bowman’s work. The fact that his strings are likely higher quality and made to order and replaced within a week makes it a no brained. I had to wait 6 weeks for one to arrive at one of the other shops last year which hindered my season. Go with Will Bowman; you’ll be very satisfied."
