"I completed the accelerated open water course. Highly recommended, great experience, and a very fair price point imo. Our instructor (Cathy C.) was very knowledgeable and she did an excellent job making sure we understood each drill and concept. No one in the class felt rushed or uncomfortable, and I would feel confident diving with anyone who has been thru this course and cert dives. Similar experience with cert dives, which we completed at Homestead. Instructors (Dean and Shanya) were fantastic, well organized, and thorough. I was apprehensive and nervous at first, but feel much more skilled, safe, and knowledgeable after completing the process. Again, well worth it."

"My partner and I signed up for a Try Scuba course. We had been looking forward to the class for a while and dedicated a weekend day for it, since we travelled from Denver to the Boulder facility. When we arrived to the building 15 minutes early, it was dark and locked. Another couple of folks who signed up for the class were waiting next to us in their car as well. We waited 30 minutes and no one from Ocean First showed up. Both parties called the listed number multiple times, and we didn't receive word back from Ocean First until the next day via email. Quite the bummer to be completely overlooked and a shocking level of disinterest in making it up to us afterward. They offered us a private class (so that we could risk wasting another weekend day driving all the way out to a closed building) or a 10% discount in the retail shop."

"Our kids (6, 4) have done swim lessons here for about a year. The swim school is awesome! We bounced around between a few of the other local options and were always disappointed with the quality of the instruction, the facilities, or both. Ocean First excels in both areas, and our kids look forward to their lessons each week. The pool is clean and well maintained, the instructors and skilled and engaging, and the group sizes are small enough for each kid to get plenty of individualized attention."

"I did my Accelerated Open Water Certification Course through Ocean First with Julie Remp here in Boulder and had a stellar experience. Julie was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure to make us all feel comfortable with the variety of skills we needed to know to safely dive for the first time. I felt very prepared from the pool sessions she led to be able to do my open water certification and sessions out in Hawaii. I wasn't able to finish out my certification through Ocean First due to time constraints, but the Dive Instructor out in Hawaii was incredibly impressed with my proficiency underwater, stating that if I hadn't been signed up for the course, they would have assumed I was a much more experienced diver. I lend much of that to the great instruction I had here in the pool. I cannot recommend the course enough and certainly suggest everyone who wants to learn to dive to stop by."
