"It's an hour from Cherry Creek, which is a big plus. There are longer, shorter, easier, and harder trails. There are roads as options. There's a lake. There's rock climbing. Beginners and advanced have stuff to do, or well, I dont do advanced, Im saying the rock climbing stuff is pretty advanced. Dogs are welcome. The deer are kinda friendly, and the view is great. It's my 2023 go-to. I haven't done all the trails yet, so Im going back weekly."
"Great park! Wonderful waterfall area that has recently been opened. Very busy on this Saturday morning but was much less busy after noon. Most lots were full by 10."
"Completed 9/7: Very beautiful state park with lots of trails. We did an easy 2 milke hike (Davis Pond), and while there were not many aspens on this trail, we did see some that were still yellow. (see my uploaded video!)"
"Great park that wasn't extremely busy. There was a decent amount of people nothing as crazy as some other state parks I've been too. The views are awesome and the history of the park is super cool to learn about as well. Me and my girlfriend really enjoy finding new parks to picnic at and a coworker mentioned this park as one he really enjoys, so we decided to check it out and we weren't disappointed! They had a couple of locations with picnic benches to use for our picnic, and the park was very dog friendly for those that wanna bring their doggos."
