"Beautiful area to walk a bit and take in the beauty as far as the eye can see. On a weekday in March, parking was a breeze and I came across a few other people and bikers. Everyone was happy to be enjoying the nice day and friendly on the trail. There is a large covered area with some picnic tables as well as a few other tables along the path that aren't covered but would be fine for a quick snack on a sunny day."
"We parked in the lot furthest east and took the pathway under Castle Pines Parkway, up along the edge of the road to the first lookout point. Pathway is dirt, but well maintained. All the snow from the recent storm was melted, and there were some areas of mud, but easily to traverse. There are some inclines, so if you are new to hiking or Colorado, this may be a struggle for you. I would say this is between easy and moderate. Really beautiful view and sparsely populated for late afternoon on a sunny Saturday in early November."
"Excellent park with amazing views of the valley on both sides. Bisons are an additional bonus. The walking trail along the ridge is great for an easy walk with the kids. Moreover it is less than 15 minutes drive from highlands ranch, lone tree or castle pines."
"Trail is next to road. It's a low-traffic road, so it was a nice walk in the snow. There are some nice views very near parking areas, so if you have limited mobility it could be a nice place to get "the view" without a difficult hike. Only saw buffalo in the distance after careful examination, so don't expect to always get close-up view. The prairie dogs were very active when we visited."
