Reviews
"Palmer Lake is a great little mountain town very close to Colorado Springs, and the lake itself freezes over completely in the winter so you can walk on it. I even saw some people ice fishing, though I'm not sure what the rules are on that. It's a great stop along the way if you take the scenic Highway 105 from Monument to Denver."
"So nice to have this lake nearby, the surrounding forest, quiet foothills community make for a great getaway. Summertime tends to get pretty busy though, from tourist traffic."
"Amazing lake and calm place to not only relax but to walk and run."
"Had a blast on the frozen lake. The first day we arrived the snow was too powdery to make a snowman but perfect for Snow Angels. By day three of our vacation the weather warmed up and we were able to build a snowman. Yay! I saw a few people ice fishinh and the teenagers were clearing an area to play ice hockey. There is also a nice trail around the lake. Along the way there was a playground for my kids to play on. All in all a fun spot. Such a magical place in the town of Palmer Lake."
"I walk my dogs here on weekends. I like that everyone I meet on the trail is friendly and seems to be enjoying the area. The trail, lake, playground, and disc golf course get a lot of use year round so the facilities are usually kept clean and in good repair, though the trash bins are sometimes left to overflow, especially the one in the parking lot."
