"We have stayed here a few times in our camper-van while on a road trip to and from our home in northern Colorado. It is conveniently located close to US Hwy 40; but, there is not too much highway noise at night. The restroom/bathhouse facility is kept clean and well-stocked. The sites are graveled and flat. There are sun-shelters over the tables, providing welcome summertime shade."
"Fun and clean campground. Spaces have plenty of room, so as to feel like your not on top of your neighbors. Restrooms are clean and available day or night. There is power to hook up your camper/rv, and a dump station on the way out if those services are needed. It is close to Highway 40, so you are going to hear vehicles pass by. All in all a nice place to camp."
"Nice, small campgrounds. Not much in the way of tree baffling so road noise from the highway was a bit louder than I'd have preferred in the tent area. I stayed during early July so there was a significant mosquito population. The facilities do include private showers with reasonable water pressure and temperature, as well as a coin laundry. The boat ramp down to the river was fine. Informational signage was good. The crew staffing the office and the camp hosts were all quite friendly and helpful."
"Stayed at the Juniper Canyon Campground. Nice new pads, with covered picnic table and fire pit. No hookups, but clean restrooms. No other campers in early October Friday. Primarily a primitive raft or floating launch (no concrete ramp). Nice quiet night stop and dogs had plenty of room to run."
"State parks are much better to stay at versus a RV park, if you can deal with only having electrical hookups. This park was nice in that they have multiple places to fill up you water tank. They also have showers, laundry, and a nice gift shop. It's located right next to the Yampa river and even have a playground. Oh, and the night sky was amazing! The only down side is that it's also next to the highway, so your get road noise all night."
