"Great local spot to walk, fish, take your dog, bike. Right by the Colorado River. Plenty of wildlife in the area. Green during the summer. Part of the Colorado River trail system. Casual or serious, amazing ponds, lakes, rivers, and trails."
"This is a great place to take kids fishing. If you want a guaranteed good time tike small hooks and worms and kids can catch 100s of small bluegill. You won't be able to get them away from the lake until your out of worms. Also you have a chance of some pretty large fish coming out of here too."
"This place was dirtier than I expected. But it was a good experience for the kids. They were able to independently catch small fish and release them back in on their own."
"I love this park. We live near it. The trail to go to it is pretty net. The lake is huge. Nice to fish. You also have access to the river and you can also launch boat directly to the Colorado."
"This is our favorite place to Camp locally! We are counting down for spring.Island acres is always our first camping trip of the season and we are never disappointed. We love this Campground rain or shine! There's plenty of walking paths and plenty of room to ride our bikes. In The heat of Summer our favorite thing to do is play in the river! The ponds are also a great place to paddleboard or fish. If I never traveled outside of Colorado there are plenty of places to vacation for the rest of my life and this is one of our favorite places!"
