"I ordered a headache rack for my 2023 GMC Denali from Putco, Inc. in December 2022, and it has been nothing but a headache itself. The rack completely obstructs the in-bed camera view of the fifth wheel connection, rendering it useless for backing up to a trailer using the camera. I tried to work with Putco engineers via email and phone calls to find a solution, and initially, they were responsive. However, their responsiveness has now come to a screeching halt, and they've stopped responding to my emails altogether. I've had no choice but to remove the headache rack because it's essentially useless to me. Putco has utterly failed to rectify this situation either by refunding my money or by providing a rack that actually works with the newest trucks. While I admit their rack looks nice, looks alone don't cut it. I'm left with no option but to abandon their product and turn to a competitor for a functional solution. It's incredibly frustrating to be ignored after spending my hard-earned money with this company. This experience has been a complete disappointment. I wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering. Update to my review. This portion updated on Jan 10th, 2024: Alfonso called me after I posted the negative review above and we talked through my issue. He asked if I could wait until they re-engineered the product and that they would send me a new one once they build it. I agreed. It has now been three months with no response to my three emails asking for confirmation of our agreement and an update on the new build. My frustration was subsided, however is now back at a higher level. I am going to be forced to post everywhere I can think of to let others know of the terrible operations of this company and to never buy anything from them. I am requesting a response from the owner as I have seen on most of the other customer reviews. Update on my review. This portion updated on Mar 24th, 2024: Still working with Alfonso and after an arduous 15-month wait, I finally received the corrected rack this week. Although it now functions as intended and boasts the high quality I initially anticipated, the journey to get here was far from smooth. I incurred additional expenses by having it installed at a shop, doubling my installation costs. While I appreciate the product's improved performance, the hassle of this experience has left a bitter taste. Currently, I'm waiting for them to send a box so I may return the old rack, adding another layer of inconvenience. Despite their superior products, the lackluster customer service has soured my overall experience. Regrettably, I'm hesitant to consider purchasing from them again, fearing a repeat of such frustrating interactions. It's disappointing, given their visually appealing and high-quality offerings."

"I love this VentureTec rack! It is light but very strong. Opting for the Molle panels was a great decision as well. After all the research done to bring me to purchase this bed rack, I am not disappointed with the purchase. If I were forced to come up with some constructive criticism it would have to be a plea to come up with a better way to hold the nut plate in place for the bed-stake bolts during assembly. Other than that, the VentureTec rack is as good as it gets."
