"DO NOT LIVE HERE!! I repeat, DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! This place deserves nothing but ZERO STARS. If the process of moving into and living in an apartment had a honeymoon phase, nothing could truly describe my experience, with the quad, more. If you take any review for this place seriously, PLEASE let it be mine. Firstly, one of the main problems I had with the physical apartment, is the abundance of maintenance required issues. In my bedroom alone, half of my blinds were missing, the closet was missing a door, the magnetic lock did not work, etc. If the issues weren’t enough, the lack of helpfulness from the staff was next to zero. I moved into this apartment as a first-time leaser, not expecting much considering the rent prices, but the number of issues I endured made the rent price seem astronomical. I was given a deal for $25 off my rent every month if I were to apply and sign in a timely manner. I did not receive this discount, even after calling. I was informed that there was “no record” of the discount even though I was told by a secretary that I would receive it. DO NOT TRUST IT!!! I would like to take a moment to talk about the staff surrounding this complex. Every single time I had an issue, I found them to be extremely rude, and for lack of a better term, useless. The secretaries who worked at the front desk seemed to be nice but overall were very micromanaged by the apartment manager. When I was living here, I was at one of my lowest points mentally. I tried to discuss the terms of my lease and subletting options with my apartment manager, explaining all of my issues to him, but he was very persistent about me staying. He told me I had no other options, but to sublease. I offered to pay any type of fine that I could to get out of my lease because it was affecting my mental health so much. I was never given an option for accelerated rent or anything of the sort. I was not helped in the slightest, other than giving me subleasing instructions. In the end, do not waste your time or money here. They DO NOT care about their tenants, even in the slightest, and are some of the most money-hungry “professionals” I have ever encountered. If I truly went into detail about all of the issues surrounding this complex and its staff, it would take a book to write. I know for a fact, that many other tenants have had similar if not identical problems surrounding this. I wrote this review for the sole purpose of showing my genuine hatred for this complex, company, and its staff. Also, I hope NO ONE has to endure the things that myself and many counterparts have dealt with. I am not looking for a response from the quad, whether they offer me a box of cookies or not. I genuinely have no interest in hearing what any of them have to say, I just need them to know how horrible their tenants were and are still treated. TRUST ME, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE QUAD AT KIRKWOOD!!"
"Went to them before I even moved in about a roommate situation and was told they would do nothing about it. Long story short, worst year living there. When I moved in the whole apartment was disgusting, you could tell nothing had been cleaned in a year, which they had also done nothing about. Then not cleaning- and me cleaning to the best of my ability- there’s only so much I can do- resulted in me not getting much deposit back. There were so many issues with our neighbors, it always being loud and not being told that we no longer had security. Safe to say I was glad to get out. In addition, when I tried to reach out to Matt or any of the girls in the office I was told there was nothing that they can do about. My mom who was also my co signer called and they were rude to her."
"The application process applying to west was very simple and easy, you visit their website, create an account, and you can receive your quote in minutes. It’s a seamless process the student and their co-signer can get done in almost no time. The whole time you’re applying makes you more excited to move in after you see and hear all of the great things west has to offer. After you receive your quote you’ll get monthly updates from the Village West staff preparing you for the big move in day. I personally cannot wait to move into west, I look more forward to it everyday and they’ve created that excitement for me. Because of how invested they are in you and how easy they make the process for you, all the way up to move in day you’ll be super excited to get started with living at west."
"Overall the apartments aren't terrible for college living & it's not far from campus at all. We have to run our dryer twice most times on a load that's very light, our dish washer doesn't clean dishes after already being rinsed off so we hand wash everything now, and our sink hose has broken twice from minimal use. My last year living here was very good with no issues at all. I hate to have to write this review now, but this year I've had a lot of problems with security and management unfortunately.. The new security guy Brad will walk into your apartment without knocking, and after several complaints against the same guy from different people, nothing changes. Don't plan on having ANY alcohol at all (even if you're 21) because security will freak out and fine you like crazy.. (The property manager can charge you up to $150 as stated in the lease for having ANY alcohol in your apartment) your co-signers will be emailed, security will curse you out, etc. I'd strongly recommend paying the extra money to live at east if I were you because it's A LOT better over there."
"Great place to live and not far from campus at all. They always keep the outside clean. They have a lot of rent discount opportunities. Great maintenance team that will come fix things right away! The parking lot could use some cameras and place wasn’t very clean when we got here- besides that everything is great!"
