"Stayed here multiple times on business. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The rooms and decor could use some updating though. This location was recently changed from a Marriot to a Radisson likely due to that reason. The hotel bar was closed, so that's the reason for the knock in service score as that's always a fun time with coworkers and bosses the night before an event. However, their breakfast service is a full restaurant style breakfast, not your standard continental breakfast. Make time to enjoy an omelette or something if you stay here!"

"This review is only inregards to the food that was served at our Christmas party. The plate had one piece of chicken n one piece of pork n green beans n red potatoes. Salad was served first. Desert was already on the table. The salad was wilted n brown. You can tell it sat all day. The chicken tasted liked leather. Potatoes were cold and under cooked. My pork was done but it came with no sauce. The desert was placed at all tables. Bad decision. It was cheesecake n some other chocolate desert. That looked like it needed refrigerated. They charged so much a plate. Everyone complained about the food. So disappointing. We definitely aren't going back. For the money that was spent on this place. They need to make it right n do some sort of credit or something. I really hope this review reaches the owner. Shame on them."

"Booked a staycation for the kids to swim and have a family slumber party. The hotel staff were kind and responsive! The breakfast was delicious with huge portions. Leo, the restaurant staff, was attentive and had great rapport. He even offered to help me cut up my kids’ food so I could eat sooner. Overall a nice way to have a special time without leaving town!"

"Great location, room was clean with no mystery stains on mattress. Didn’t love that breakfast wasn’t included, but that’s on me for not checking. Fitness room has what you need for a travel workout, staff was friendly. Quiet place (at least tonight) to stay, would come back. Shower pressure was GREAT."

"We booked this hotel solely for the hot tub. I called twice today to verify it was up and working before I booked a room for tonight. I was told yes both times. We didn’t need to stay the night in Cedar Rapids but always liked this property when it was a Marriott and wanted to relax. Booked room, just got back from pool area and the hot tub was FREEZING! Inquired with front desk and the response was “oh not sure what happened to the out of order sign, but it’s broken”. They said it had been for a while. I even had called at 3pm and was told it was working, at 430pm it was ice cold. I don’t complain often, but we just wasted an entire night paying for a hotel room, which is also so outdated. We could get past that if the hot tub actually worked. Will never stay here again, it’s run down and old, and employees seem like they hate working there. I work in hospitality so I understand things cannot be perfect, but this was unacceptable with no discount or at least a free breakfast coupon. An effort to make things right makes all the difference."
