Quality Inn at Collins Road - Cedar Rapids

"Don’t let the looks of this hotel fool you. It seems decent until you actually stay in the rooms. The moment we walked in, the room smelled like cigarette smoke + a musty smell. Toilet moves when you sit on it, their phone doesn’t work, we had to walk back and forth for our key card because their system was “always down”, and now their hot water is out. House keeping doesn’t really clean our rooms. They only come to fix the bed and take out the towels. Other than that, they don’t wipe anything down so it’s dirty your whole stay. The front desk person was nice, but the hotel itself isn’t. Would not recommend."

"Built in the mid 80s it seems to be all original and unchanged. Including the carpet and paint. Considering that, it's in fair condition and the price reflects this. Get an even numbered room. The odd numbers are on the back of the property and and you'll enjoy the view of the building next door. Eight feet away. The best thing to be said is it's cheap and not on 33rd."

"I chose this hotel because of location of where I needed to be. I need to say I absolutely loved the bed! My problem was the pot smell in the hallway and the wallpaper in bathroom was coming down. I almost knocked on the door of the pot smokers and told them police were on the way. Pot should NEVER be smoked in any hotel. The front desk gal was wonderful. I will not be returning"

"Stayed for a week , had to change rooms because the fridge didn't work. Walked into the 2nd room and the air conditioning was turned off. I had to leave for 2 hours so the room would cool off. I bring my own food for weekly stays, and when I got back my dinner was frozen solid. First day wasn't good but the rest of my stay has been tolerable."
