"New owner really turned the building around and it looks amazing!"
"Love the ridges! Building management is great and the new owners have done an amazing job sprucing it up."
"(continuing the review added from my wife's account) - don't have a shut-off valve to block cold water in the unit - we had an issue with the faucet in the bathroom and we were not able to stop the cold water and had a waterfall in the bathroom while waiting for the emergency maintenance. They said they cannot replace the valve as in this case they need to shut off the whole building. - windows are always with condensation - no matter if were have heat on of off, its cold or hot outside, looks like the issue with not proper windows installing or something so the air flow is interrupted. Also, our air conditioner is backed up from the bottom with wooden sticks and had an issue (sparks of fire) before. - trashy surrounding - they know it and the problem is occurring. some people from our floor (3rd) always put their trash to the hallway. Can be anything from things they don't use to dirty diapers. - dirty laundry - and we continue with the trash - forget about using the laundry room at 7201, it is almost always with somebody's poo-p in the washer, dryer or on the floor. We don't use it anymore as it is frustrating to come there and see it every time and the worst part is when you didn't notice that and did your wash.... definitely have to re-wash after that, and washers and dryers are not free. So think twice and check where you're moving, don't buy for the cheap price - you'll pay twice more with your nerves and unfriendly management. But if you like all we mentioned - You're welcome!"
"Have A LOT to add since the last review was left a year ago. Long story short - DO NOT RENT here. I'm serious, you don't need these problems for that price. Let's get into some details. My husband started renting an apartment here in May 2023. Unfortunately, he was unable to come and see as he was moving from another state. So we tried to do everything online and came to an already rented apartment. That was our huge mistake. What we have now: - mold spots - mold spot was found under the window in the bedroom. After a heavy snowing, we noticed a wet spot with mold. They covered it with some paint, and also did these pain patches at some other places where nothing was found, I don't know why. - wet spots and holes in the ceiling - as we continue with wet after snowing/raining, almost half of our bedroom ceiling was wet and covered with small drops. They later found that there is a huge hole in the roof and their subcontractor didn't do their roof inspection or repair properly. In the living room a hole was found, that was covered before moving in, but after this roof problem there was a wet spot too and the drops were falling from the ceiling like we live near the waterfall. Of course they can do nothing and doing everything right as the property manager said. They cannot compensate us for having this issue and inability to use a large part of the apartment we paid for, and if we have any damage we were advised to use our insurance and it is completely not their problem. Fun fact: rent payments have nothing to do with our apartment usage! Like we're paying for something other than the apartment. - roaches - a year since the last review mentioned roaches problem, and here we are. We don't have so much, but it is enough. We find up to 5 every week, some of them are pregnant or were recenly, so it's never ending circle. We had pest control last time around a week ago, and 6 we have in the traps they left, nobody knows how many are there who didn't decide to go through the traps. And we definitely pay for pest control. Looks like their efforts are useless. - no manager on site since when ??? - as I mentioned we're renting since May 2023, and the manager is never there. You need to call or make an appointment for the manager to come to the leasing office in the main building, or go to another fancy community where she is sitting. - additional security deposit - may be not so relevant for the most of people living in the States, but I have to mention it - they charged us a double deposit when I moved in in December as I don't have a history in the US. I know enough families where husband or wife joined to the lease later than the spouse, no one ever asked for additional deposit. Considering all the problems we have, I just find it ridiculous. They think I'll break something, but the fact is I don't have to do anything, everything is already bad here. - cheap paint - I don't know what type of paint they do use, but it looks cheap and has stains, mostly in the bathroom. And after that "anti-mold painting" they walls look very "cool" with the patches of another color. - the faucet and shower head don't fit on the wall in the bathroom (continue in the another review)"
"I have lived at The Ridges for many years and have enjoyed it. However, in June of 2021 new management took over and while there are some "growing pains", they really are making this a great place live. The property manager, Shelby, is very knowledge and attentive to all the residents. It has made a big difference having a responsive manager in the office as well. Even if she is out of the office, she ensures we have a way to contact her if we need something. I would definitely recommend The Ridges. It's a nice, small community close enough to everything but far enough from things for it to be quite."
