"After talking to other people who live in these apartments I learned that I am not the only one waiting a year to get my washing machine or dish washer fixed. They have you pay full rent but will not fix any issues inside your home... Absolutely unacceptable!!!!"

"I’m only writing this so other people know that if you want to live here cause it’s a good looking place and it’s good price it is but when it comes to management and others it seems like they don’t like it when you have children and animals so you get complaints about your unit but you have others telling you they can’t hear anything when there in there own unit but when u tell management about this you state I can’t keep my 1 year old who’s non verbal to keep it down I get told “you can keep it quiet” by management I’d like to know what ways am I supposed to keep my child quiet duck tape it’s mouth shut? Put it out for adoption? Just because someone doesn’t like kids or pets ? The old management was way much better and understandable but every since this buyout they became a problem oh and if your gonna want to live here but have any “dangerous breed” they won’t allow it there but hey it’s pet friendly no?"

"I have had the same problem as many of the other reviewers, I was shown and promised one apartment then given a different one altogether. Maintenance has been okay for me, but I have neighbors who have had issues with no resolve. Pest control is a joke, they come in and look at an insect trap under the kitchen sink then leave. No spraying of any kind is done. I personally had issues with a neighbor who was severely mentally unstable and after a background check come to find out he has been evicted multiple times from other apartments. Only good thing I can say is that management got him out of the apartments which was a huge relief! Truverse Management attempted to illegally evict me this past spring, the mediator literally laughed when they tried to do it. Id say the biggest problem here is Truverse Management and their inability to run an apartment complex, not the apartments themselves!! (side note that some of the 5 star reviews are from employees of Truverse/Blackbird). March 2023 Update Things have taken a significant downturn at this apartment complex, there was a time I’d actually recommend living here. Now I would steer far far away from this place. Hubbel took over management and since then things have become unlivable. We are consistently lied to by the various management that work in the office here. Its become nothing more then a drug infested, homeless camp with random and consistent bouts of violence."

"Three different management companies in less than 2 years... that alone is almost enough to get an idea of what you’d be dealing with. Between that, mice, cops always being around, not being able to control the temperatures in your own apartment, windows of the front security doors constantly get broken or the doors not working in general, never putting salt on the front steps of the building etc. Whats the purpose of having a washer and dryer in your unit that barely works, If it works at all. I genuinely tried to overlook these things because of the all inclusive utilities but I couldn’t deal with it. Definitely see the potential in this place and I genuinely hope for all the money they spent in remodeling this place they get it together."

"The building, my place, and the grounds are very nice and well-maintained. I have a fondness for old/historic brick buildings & love living in one, especially since it's been remodeled and updated so nicely -- high ceilings, big windows, great lighting, roomy, plenty of storage, nice hardwood floors, all with new appliances and fixtures. Being on the old fort grounds gives the surroundings/neighborhood an open, spacious, sort of woodsy feel to it. My tenant-neighbors are a good mix of young families and singles -- a group of really nice folks -- a lively yet peaceful vibe -- all in all just a comfortable, pleasant environment. I've been here a year, and the staff has always been super helpful and responsive. I also like that the utilities and internet are included with the rent -- less hassle. And the rent itself is very reasonable. Just renewed my lease and couldn't be happier that I've finally found a nice, homey place to live. Highly recommend it."
