"If I could give them negative stars I would! All the poor reviews here are the truth! I lasted 2 years unfortunately at this place. The pictures and "upgrades" described on the website are a lie. The "granite" counters are just wood particle with fake granite look alike thin sheets over it, the kitchens are painted with multiple layers of tar lumpy paint, the hallway "closets" is a weird small shallow build in cupboard type thing. The walk in closets are just regular closets but sure when you take the door off I suppose you can walk in them. The bathtubs have so many layers of regular white paint on them they constantly peal and its like hard shards of glass pain on your feet when showering. They have a HUGE cockroach problem! I let them know the day I moved in and not once in 2 years did they care or spray for pest. Theres also multiple different kind of roaches. I spent the entire time using my own money to do all I could to help at least slow down the amount in the apartment. They are so bad that you can see them inside the clock of the stove, under the top of the stove, the stoves don't work well, the electricity was constantly going down because the outlets are fire hazards, the windows shook when you lightly walked. Theres these weird fuzzy carpet Beatle like creatures in all the carpets and all my neighbors confirmed they have them too. They turn the water off constantly, with no warning or explanation as to why, they ignore maintenance request, I told them my sink had a leak for 7 months and then they came 3 months later and said there was water in the downstairs neighbors walls, I told them it was likely from my sink they never fixed which was then to the point of caving and mold filled. They said no its the bathtub, put some gunk down the bathtub drain and left. Two months later they came again saying the neighboors bathroom was leaking water from above and it smelled horrible, I again said yeah it's the sink still. They again said no it's the bathtub. They spent 3 hours on and off working on the bathtub then finally laughed and said "oh it is the sink" they took a pipe off the garbage disposal said they were gonna fix it and never came back. So the caved in mold filled cabinet just stayed that way and I was expected to live with it. The pool is almost never open, this past summer they put a deadbolt on it and basically only a few days over the whole summer was it open to swim in. The gates are always and I mean always broken, there's no point in calling it a gated community. The whole place is a fire hazard with how bad the electric issues are, the broken stoves that malfunction and more- a few years ago a woman died in a fire from an electric issue in her apartment here. They also love raising the rent there. Year one they raised mine from $1,150 to over $1,350 with rental insurance and absolutely laughable $55 per unit water fee AND the fee to pay your rent online (there was no choice, you have to) I was paying $1,400 a month for this place. To top it off I am 100% sure they are lying about the square footage of the apartments, there is no way my apartment was over 1200 square feet, 900 AT BEST. The state needs to come in and shut the owners down, They're making bank on lies. Don't believe anything on the website- they show you a model unit, they look nothing like those pictures and the bedrooms are carpeted not the tile like floors shown in the website pictures. If you can, look far, far away from this place and any places owned by westland properties. Allen is the property manager and I have never seen someone care less about the safety of tenants. I am so glad I got out of there."
"Do not live here especially if you have anything even close to nice. Gates are open nearly 24/7 allowing every bum in a 5 mile radius to wonder in to make a mess of the dumpster areas, break into cars, vandalize your cars, cost you tons of money repairing your stuff. Supposedly has security, they don't. Corporate like ownership of these properties make them more worried about increasing rent and collecting money from tenants and not putting that money back into repairing the complex, securing it or anything for the people living here. Speaking from experience of someone who's on my 3rd lease here till finally buy my house after this last one. Go somewhere else."
"DO NOT RENT HERE. Our ac went out in the middle of summer our apartment reached 105. Never received any calls emails or text back regarding fixing the situation the only reason it got fixed a week later was because someone from a sister property came and fixed it. Otherwise we would have had to wait another couple of weeks until management came back and made the ordered. We still have yet to get a response regarding the rent considering we couldn’t stay here while it was out. Calls never get answered voicemails never returned. Sent multiple emails and still nothing and it’s been over a month. After we moved in it took them over a month to come fix some issues which were never really fixed. At this point we are just waiting for our lease to be up. Their excuse is always that they take care of emergencies first but the ac was an emergency and that still wasn’t taken care of asap or even acknowledged the problem. The only reason anything got done was because we called sister properties called any number we could find for anyone to do anything. Horrible communication. No ones ever in the office to speak when there is an issue and even when someone is there they avoid phone calls."
"This is the worst place to live! My stove doesn't work properly and is constantly catching on fire which is kind of scary since the building next to mine caught on fire and some one died in there! They don't take care of tenants and act like it's a problem when you ask for a work order to be placed. It will take them months just to put a door knob on the bedroom door. When I moved in the door to the master was too big and didn't close it also wasn't cut for a door knob at all! Roaches and bed bug invested. Roaches fall on you while you are in the shower or on the toilet. They fall right out of the ceiling. The new office lady told me it was not her problem. The laundry facility is filthy and does not work at all. A 2 bedroom is 830 and I told them as much as the rent is I would expect all of the appliances to work and she told me im paying for the square footage of the apartment not appliances!!!"
"Unprofessional and dangerous place to live at. Moved into these apartments last December and it from start to end they do not take care of their tenants. I have had flooding in my unit one morning and was cleaning up the water, when emergency maintenance came to my unit that same day, they said they were not able to repair anything that same day because it was not an emergency. *Note: I have two daughters and the flooding covered all the restroom and living room. In addition my closet rack fell off and the did not repair it until weeks afterwards. I ended up just folding and having my clothes stacked on the floor. I've also had many things occur in front of my unit. A neighbor of mine was constantly beating his girlfriend and had even slammed her against our window once. Cops had always showed up but he would always get out. Don't let the gates fool you, this area is dangerous. Finally the last straw that broke the camel's back was last week when someone attempted to enter my apartment late at night. The guy ran off when I turned on the lights, but nonetheless it is dangerous having my wife and kids here. I have contacted the corporate office by email weeks ago in regards to safety and to terminate my lease because they violated my rights as a tenant by providing unstable living conditions ( flooding, water being turned off for hours a couple times a week) and they redirected me to the manager of the property. Manager told me I must pay 4 months rent to terminate my contract, even though I only have 3 months left. Do not move into this area, ESPECIALLY if you have family. IT IS DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE."
