"These are the worst apartments ever . I put in two work orders both have been canceled my air vent has been leaking and my son has already slipped from the vent leaking so much . My mail box has been broke all they do is lie and say it will be fixed this gate has been broke for months but they are making us pay for it each month which makes no sense..They go around putting 30 day’s notice on people doors on the 2nd of each month which makes no sense cause we have until the 5th to pay rent …y’all want rent on time but are not doing y’all job. All they do is say come to the office so we can fix the problem and they don’t fix nothing just tell you a butch of lies."
"Sucks... Best way to describe this place... Put work orders in, they get cancelled and nobody follows up... The office no longer accepts packages and there's no parcel lockers so all the disabled and unable bodies that can't get to the Post Office are SOOL SMH... Some things just get worse with time and humanity, hospitality and basic respect has gone out of the window... So sad..."
"I just moved here and oh boy. My cousin and I went to this complex bc of an add we seen on fb posted by Tiera. The staff was nice but all over the place. We went in and toured, seen the vacant units and decided to lease. Tiera was the young lady who made the post but Kierra is who leased to us. She was assisted by a lady named Rose who was from corporate. 2 hours we were there bc the lady Rose forgot she was working on my paperwork. No focus on one person she was everywhere then took a break and forgot I was sitting there. My cousin was approved immediately but my background check took a little longer. I go in the next day in hopes of finally getting an approval. It was about 430. When I got there Kierra immediately went to checking on my approval. About 5 Tiera told me it was approved. I was happy bc all of my belongings were in the Uhaul ready to go. Literally about 5 minutes after she confirmed my approval I was asked to leave the office bc Rose called for a meeting. Who asks ppl moving in to leave so you could chastise your employees. I’m like wth but I didn’t want to cause a problem so I just scheduled my truck to return the next day. $52 extra I had to pay for this truck. I get there the next day a get my keys and the young lady who we came in because of quit due to being treated badly. So sad. There were some issues with the unit that were stated to them at the time of application so there was time to correct them. I moved in with dead roaches, broken cabinets, wobbly fridge, and my stove wouldn’t ignite. So I stopped and went to the office so they can fix this before I continued my walk through inspection. The maintenance supervisor came over and the manager had the unit cleaned again and fix what I had found so far. Cool! Later that night I go to turn on the heat and nothing. I call the emergency line 3x no response. I called the manager the next morning to tell her I had no heat all night. She told me the maintenance supervisor told her he spoke with me and I told him I was fine til the morning. A total lie. No one ever returned my call at all. He comes over with the maintenance guy Jay. Jay was very nice and professional. He fixed everything we had found wrong at that time. My washer and dryer weren’t plugged in so I thought those didn’t work he fixed that, cleaned my porch which was full oh pigeon poop, and fixed my heater. All this within the first 12 hours. My fridge the supervisor stated he would take care of bc the fan isn’t working and something sounds broken inside. Still nothing. Now it’s bed time. My neighbors are playing loud music, I live upstairs and it sounds like they’re over my head, not to mention I just walked in my kitchen to find the roaches chilling on my stove and in the pantry. I’m scared to put my food and dishes away. To add to the already bad look, I’m up right now looking into renters insurance bc when I went to take out my trash one of the neighbors warned us about break ins. Most companies won’t insure here and the ones who will have really high rates. Andddddd my toilet just over flowed smh. It’s 1253am on 1/13. I literally got keys at 2pm 1/11 and all this already. This place is a mess. The extra high rent for this type of living is insane $1464 to live with roaches, loud music, and theft issues. Don’t rent here."
"We have lived here 2 months. I can not thank the Portola Del Sol staff enough for the lengths they went through to make sure our stressful move was seamless. They went above and beyond to make sure we where comfortable and happy. Claudia, Josie made us feel at home instantly. The two leasing agents up front are literal gems. the maintenance man Terrell was awesome, and the maintenance supervisor went above and beyond for us. TI communities and Portola Del Sol is a well rounded community to reside. They genuinely whole heartedly care about the well-being of their residents. It's an amazing place for families. Portola Del Sol is located right next to the zoned school for elementary kids for a seamless morning commute, with grocery shopping less than a mile away. We love it here and hope to be long time residents."
"Where do I even start? Lived here for 2 years. I have seen everything from a drive by shooting where they busted through the gates of the complex and we took bullets to our building and a tenant got shot, my neighbor’s deceased body rotting away for weeks and stinking up the area, my neighbors getting hit by SWAT, someone destroying a car slashing tires and smashing the windshield while intoxicated, and so much more. Security is a joke. They’re basically nonexistent. Do one patrol and they’re gone but we get charge a monthly fee for that. There are kids running around the neighborhood messing with cars, ripping window screens off apartments, getting aggressive with adults, and breaking down the brick wall on the side of the complex. The complex wasn’t helpful with any of it. Good luck getting ahold of anybody in the office. They rarely respond to emails as well. Maintenance is a joke. Had a leaky water heater for weeks and it did damage to the structure. They get upset if you don’t give permission to enter for maintenance requests. There have been many times maintenance has said they came and even fixed stuff but thanks to our security cameras we were able to refute that. Had been told by the previous property manager that we could transfer to another unit when the lease was up at no extra cost. Unbeknownst to us, they got a new property manager, told nobody, and stopped doing unit transfers. They also never renewed our lease even though we had signed it after finding out we couldn’t move out since it was after the 60 day notice to move out period despite us being given false information and providing proof of that. They expected us to pay month to month rates when we weren’t the ones making mistakes. Two other neighbors had the same issue and are still figuring it out with the complex. Since the complex didn’t renew our lease and we had no idea what was going on, we found somewhere else to live. We have a kid and our lives just weren’t worth it anymore. Despite all the out of control stuff happening in that complex, they had no issue raising rent when they were not keeping up with maintenance, not keeping us safe but we paid an outrageous security fee with rent, and more. And when you move out, be careful, they charged us two months rent and claim we didn’t move out till May 1st. I told them we had moved out almost two months prior and still haven’t heard back from them. It’s insanity. Couldn’t provide a safe habitable place to live but expect money money money. Save yourself the frustration and danger. Move elsewhere. It’s not worth it. Seriously. Updated to add photos and more info updates."
