"I’ve been here for one year and have not gad the chance to use the gym here. Office hours are not consistent and even to put money on my laundry card is a challenge since the office hours vary. Office staff have been rude my elderly father many times and the have lack communication over all with the residents. Charging for fees such as the park or recreational area which we can’t even use cause there is nothing there. I just wish it was managed better."
"I was stressed but Felicia made it happen from start to finish! She made the application process smooth and easy! Also, everything she said she would do on her end was DONE plus more! She was very professional!"
"My rent has gone up every single year with no added benefits or amenities. We have absolutely NO security - and now there's gang tags spray painted all over the grounds. Lights are out half the time so I cannot walk my dog when I get home from work. The lock was removed from the laundry rooms which has resulted in homeless people sleeping in them. The model apartment has new, properly sealed windows but not one of the units that people actually live in have them. What do we keep paying more every year for??"
"I've lived here about half a year, having moved in around when the new management was transforming Emory into Madison West. I will update this review if anything significantly changes later. So far, we've been incredibly pleased with our encounters with management, staff, and the property itself, and I hope to renew my lease indefinitely moving forward because it's so great here. First of all, Anna is doing a great job in managing this property. Enrique and his coworker in maintenance are rock-stars as well; ownership should make sure to provide competitive raises over time to retain these folks. Good property management requires people skills, critical thinking, AND common sense, which is becoming a rare combo. Anna has handled any requests or questions with grace and accuracy, and followed up proactively with updates. We get timely notification of necessary entry and general property announcements. Enrique (alongside fellow maintenance staff, forgive me for not knowing his name!) has assessed property-related situations with a keen eye towards what will solve the problem *best* and maintain the property for the long-term. My father is a retired carpenter, and I like seeing buildings well cared-for, as it will just create waste and cost more in the long term if you let them get worn down. I appreciated that any maintenance request was dealt with promptly, and usually just involved an initial visual assessment followed by obtaining needed parts, because these guys solidly know what they're doing. On a property this size, the small dedicated maintenance staff keep really busy, so I've always appreciated how friendly and personalized the brief few visits have been despite that! That brings me to the quality of the property and buildings. This property is great and surprisingly quiet, given its location. We're buffered to the south by a small hospital and school district building, and the housing complex to the west across Edmond Street has a high fence that seems to help our privacy too. If you're looking at apartments directly facing O'bannon Drive to the north, that's the only street I've seen get a bit rowdy or sketchy, but even that is very quiet compared to most of this area. The residents of the complex are also chill and laid-back. There are families in the complex, and if your unit faces directly onto the pools, you will want to consider if kids playing loudly there would be an issue for you. We are far away enough from the pools that it's just a nice distant sound of summer. The buildings themselves are why I never want to move: our apartment is SO well-insulated. The only sounds that travel really loudly are actual physical thumps to the infrastructure, like hammering or doors closing. Also, we are top floor, and the roof is not insulated at all- the first time we heard workers up there, we thought they were going to fall into our living room! However, building maintenance like roof work is necessary and rare, in my experience so far. The good insulation of these buildings carries through in the apartment layout itself, in my opinion, and this is the final benefit I want to drive home. We had to downsize from a previous 2-bedroom layout to a single bedroom, despite needing two work-from-home setups. With the size of the living room and bedroom, combined with the really effective internal insulation, it's honestly a better split than our previous 2-bedroom. Once the bedroom door is closed, any sound transfer is very muffled, and we have ample space to spread out in separate areas. If you do move here, actually read the thorough rules you are provided, about 40 pages which would be common sense to some. Keeping your apartment to a basic level of cleanliness, and following related rules, is why this is one of the only affordable areas that does NOT have cockroaches. They do regular maintenance inspections and will catch you if you are gross, I'm glad all my neighbors here take pride and keep stuff clean! Thanks, Madison West, for a great place to live."
"Excellent leasing experience! Yeslin in the front office was very helpful during the leasing process, most of which was done while I was out of state. Community is clean and quiet, I see maintenence daily keeping it that way. Apartment was in great condition and even came with some welcoming gifts upon move in. I have been here for about 30 days now and can honestly say that I am happy with the experiences I have had with moving in and the ease of transition into it becoming a home. Glad, at least so far, that I leased here."
