"Love Dr. Kasner! But... I just spent 20 minutes on hold, had someone take me off hold without acknowledging me at all. I tried to get their attention for almost 10 more minutes and they eventually hung up on me. Had to call back three more times and get the assistance of the operator to make them finally answer my call. Sorry to inconvenience whoever is working the desk I suppose lol."
"I relocated to Iowa from California and I truly feel it's irresponsible of any physician to not review your records or even examine the area in question and just decide I don't need the medication I'm on because, well, just "because". I'm a reasonable person and I truly feel some research into my situation should have been done before deciding I should stop medication and just "do palates"."
"I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with the nursing staff. I made an appointment last week and they told me I could then call my pharmacy and have my expired prescription for my INHALER filled sconce I made an appointment and the pharmacy would be able to see that. My pharmacy then sent a request to have that prescription filled Friday and it was denied by Mercicare because they claimed I never made an appointment (I did I even had to reschedule it) I then called mercicare again and told them for insurance purposes it would need to be a 3 month supply. They assured me they would send that to the pharmacy. Turns out they only sent a 1 month prescription to the pharmacy and because of insurance and it needing to be a 3 month supply I could not get it filled yet again. Come to today I call mercicare yet again and they tell me (yet again) that I have no appointment (I do) and that they would try to text my primary care provider about it. I need to breathe. I am becoming tolerant to my emergency inhaler and I can’t afford to go to the ER. FILL MY 3 MONTH PRESCRIPTION."
"Second time I’ve gone in and had to wait 20+ after my appointment. Staff at the front desk seem more into own personal conversations and talking about their personal lives then about the patient, IdI would not reccomend going here"
"Was a patient for 10+ years with Dr. Saegers at Mercy Medical Center, Blairs Ferry. Stuck with him all this time because he's the most competent MD I've been able to find. Unfortunately, during a call to see why prescriptions hadn't been renewed I was informed that I was "dismissed" as a patient. Apparently our family has reached some undefined threshold of missed appointments over an equally undefined period of time. No warnings, no call to see why, just a simple cut off. I was assured the decision was made after much consideration. That was such a relief... It has become apparent that this practice prioritizes money over patient care and loyalty."
