I worked in the health care systems where I came from in surgery and medical imaging as an x-ray and CT Technologist. We KNEW who to trust and which doctors to go to. Now, I am starting without that advantage. I saw Cassandra VanDenBerg. She is exceptional. Thorough, kind, interested in her patients and their health. She listens and interacts the way patients really need. Every step of the way with UnityPoint so far has been very pleasant and efficient. I feel good about my health care system and professionals' decisions thus far."

"Explained my symptoms to Dr Morris and he was extremely thorough. He ordered all the appropriate work to be done to look for certain complications. He was thoughtful, and took the time to answer all my questions. The staff was friendly as well. I was in and out rather quickly for all the work that was done. 2 hours later, at 8pm Dr Morris called me and told me a test result came back positive and I needed to go to the ER immediately. Long story short, I went to the ER where the test was confirmed and treatment was started right away. I had been to other Urgent Care locations and to the ER several times this month and this Dr was the only one that took the time to “look” further. As a result, he literally saved my life."

"I would not recommend going to this urgent care at all. The doctor told me to be off work for 3 days. I returned to work after my 3 days off and they have paperwork for me to have the facility fill out. I took the paperwork back and they are refusing to fill it out. They told me to take it to my care provider... I didn’t see my care provided I saw your doctor, he should have no problem filling it out. Go to a different urgent care, I will never go back to this one. Unhelpful."

"The first time I went to urgent care at 6pm, the receptionist had her head down on the keyboard and was napping. Despite being the only one in the waiting room, it still took 20 minutes to be called. I was there for an hour and a half after the doc ordered a flu test and nobody was in the lab because they were "really busy." I left without getting the labs or any meds. The second time I called ahead and asked about wait time. I was told there were four patients ahead of me and two doctors in. It took more than an hour and 15 minutes to be called back. You are lucky if a nurse comes out to call a patient every 20 minutes. If your insurance allows it, go to the mercy urgent care. This is a poorly run facility and it's very clear the staff is not in any hurry to change."
