"Unfortunately, this location is one of the most bleak Hy-Vee stores in the chain. The cafe is non-existent now, with an unwelcome sign stating that nobody is welcome to have a seat. They were also removing the "convenience store"-like fountain drinks during my visit. I get that this location is in an undesirable area, and they wanted to relocate to the Beaverdale neighborhood, but EVERYONE needs a grocery store, regardless of income status, and corporate treats this location like a red headed stepchild. Some Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh locations have more to offer! Case in point: I didn't feel a welcome vibe at this location, and it was more of a "get your items and get the hell out of our store" vibe."
"First time stopping in the store. Needed rice for a late dinner. The employees look like they was in high spirits so that made me smile. It was a little busy at the time but a busy employee stop and helped checked us out. They worked as a team organizing the store and helping customers. I will like to go shop for more groceries there and take in the Hyvee experience."
