"Do NOT come here!!! If you come here, you'll regret it. I went in to get my hair colored and she over-processed it to the point that I can't style it. Two days after I called her to tell her that it wasn't what I wanted and if there was anything that she can do to help (which professional stylists already do).I have since called her multiple times and left voice messages and she hasn't returned any of my calls. She has ghosted me. This woman is handling her business unprofessionally. It is unacceptable that she is not returning my calls. I just want to have nice hair. Please consider yourself warned."

"I just moved to Iowa City and it was a little daunting to find a new hair salon especially with COVID-19. Let me say....Haven did not disappoint! The salon was nice and clean, and the owner, I think Kristi, was very accommodating, kind, and provided a very safe environment. Everyone in the salon was wearing a mask. Plus, I loved my hair! Look no further if your on the hunt. I will definitely be recommending Haven Hair Salon to everyone."

"Unfortunately I don’t remember the lady’s name who cut my hair, but she had glasses, i think it was Kristi. I got my hair cut here back in November. Having a curly pixie cut I was nervous to go somewhere new. First she turned the chair so I couldn’t see myself. Not only was my hair combed down all around my head and chopped into a bowl cut, about 2-3 inches of my already short hair were cut off! I had asked for a trim on top! My hair was also not cut to match how my curls hang and come together. In addition to having the bowl cut, the sides of my head were different! I had especially told her that I wanted both sides to be even. The left side was faded from top to bottom of my head and then the right side had an obvious detachment of top head hair vs the sides where she buzzed it instead of fading. I was so disappointed and mortified when i saw myself I said I liked it, I still tipped the woman 10$ because I had a groupon and I believe in tipping for service. It’s been 5+ months and my curls have not come back from being combed and cut against their natural state, Its been a huge let down. My cut would have worked if she knew what she was doing and cut it correctly"

"I booked Kristi for my wedding hair and makeup and I could not have been happier. She listened to what I wanted and collaborated with me to get a realistic (I have lots of hair) and incredibly flattering style. I LOVED the trial hair and makeup. I was worried Kristi would have trouble replicating my hair for the wedding day but somehow she made my hair even more beautiful, and she took the few small tweaks I wanted for the makeup and transformed me into the most beautiful I have ever been. She kept the style in line with my vision for the wedding and she was very nice to talk to during the appointments. Kristi and her team did my hair and makeup, my moms and mother-in-laws, and 6 of my bridesmaids. Everyone looked great and felt comfortable and at home. Her attention to detail and eye for colors and beauty flattered every face and hair style we had. She was flexible to work with our wedding day schedule, opening early to make sure we kept everything on time. I got lashes, airbrush makeup and an up-do, and everything survived an entire day of 100+ degree summer heat outdoors for the pictures and ceremony, my own tears, and lots of dancing that night. I would certainly recommend her to anyone in the IC/Coralville/CR area. My only regret is not getting better pictures of her beautiful work."
