"I moved away from this area about a year ago, shortly before this place opened. Was back to visit and gave it a try. I'm kind of glad I moved, if this had been down the street when I lived here. I would probably weigh 600 pounds lol. Chopped brisket sandwich was tasty and they didn't skimp on the brisket. Beans were as good as any I've ever had. Definitely recommend this small family owned business."

"Totally by accident we discovered the best BBQ I gave had in a very long time. Coming from this Texas girl that is a compliment. If you are over around E 14th and Madison area, you have to stop in to Leachmans Pit Stop BBQ. A family owned and operated restaurant. Don't go in expecting a fancy BBQ place...except a BBQ joint...good, no, great southern style BBQ. They serve almost everything you would expect at a good ol southern BBQ. Brisket, ribs, yams, corn, Greens Mac/cheese. 3 berry cobbler and so much more. My husband and I both had the brisket sandwich he had fries and baked beans, I had potato salad and fried okra...oh so good. And I had enough left for lunch today....under $40"

"New to the East side, and still are working on getting correct orders because of that, but we were glad there were a couple of order mistakes because we got to try things we might not have otherwise! The brisket sandwiches are amazing as is the smoked Turkey! Piled high with just the right amount of smoke and the sauce was perfect! I’m glad I got the smoked Turkey as it was tender and juicy,. I am allergic to onions so I usually can’t eat potato salad at restaurants, but their has no onions and was wonderful! And the fried Okra was so good! It was getting busy, so the owners little girl brought us menus and we were got to talk to her… such a nice family and such a great addition to the East side! We will definitely be back"
