"Desirae is very knowledgeable and accredited in her profession. She's very responsive, does her best to make you feel confident and informed about your situation. This is not an attempt at flattery by any means. I hired Desirae to help me with a 3rd DUI case from the end of June 2020. She really sold herself over the phone and I felt like I had a very good chance with her. Quickly, I realized I was not happy with her service. She signed many continuance wavers, which means neither of us had to appear in court. The first time we had to appear at the end of September she showed up 30 minutes late. I never received a call from her or her office. This doesn't make the client look good to the court in my opinion. After this court appearance she mentioned that she had not had time to watch the video from my arrest. This worried me and ruined my trust as this had been over 3 months since the arrest. After this and using her words, she was able to last minute get a plea agreement. This also made me feel uneasy and I started to question if she had ever watched the video of my case. I ask her before sentencing and she said yes, but it didn't make sense to suppress it, quickly dismissing my inquiry. Wanting to see for myself if she had ever gotten the video, I called and asked to watch it. She got back to me and said she lost it or must have placed it in someone else's file and would have to request it again. Very curious. Maybe she did misplace it, its hard to say, as she did send me her other clients paper work several times. We watched the video and she said I could appeal, but then I would have to deal with a felony and she wanted me to be able to hunt and keeps my guns. I NEITHER HUNT NOR OWN GUNS. So, I don't know where this came from, but this made it very clear to me that she didn't know who I was. In the end, she did not appear in person during my sentencing as she had other matters that wouldn't allow her to make it on time, told the judge I had heart issues due to my anxiety, was being treated with meds and may need house arrest over jail, which I told her several times we needed to rule out if it was anxiety as this just happened last month and the medication was not working. Considering my open statement, it doesn't make sense that I got the service I received from her. Like, I said, she's very smart and I don't want to draw people away from considering her, this was just my experience."
